@homie
Thank you. That made sense.
It seems that they are not making 120 sizes for the rear. (not sure)
I would love the look of that 140 on your pcx, but with a stock engine I don't think that's a good idea.

Re: Tire Size?
I will revive this thread as I think this is very important. If I understand the post here correctly, the biggest I can put is 140/70 at the rear. That might require slight modifications though. I think the perfect fit without any modification is using 120 rear and 110 front. Next question is, is th...

Re: Beware of the rain
Quality of tires is a factor, but not entirely to be blamed. I still have my stock IRC tires on my PCX. I find them quite okay in the rain, as long as you don't ride as fast when it's dry. I usually ease down on my throttle around 60% and double my distance between other vehicles and hazards. In cur...

Of all the scooters we have featured in here I quickly go down a list when I see a new one posted. 1. is it a Honda... if not move on 2. is it a step through... don't like em 3. are the wheels at least 14"... anything less is a pot hole hazard in Chicago town 4. hows the mpg 5. does it have a ...

Re: New owner 2017 PCX150 White
Since you just bought a 2017. I'm also looking at one. The last scoot I had two years ago was a 2004 Silverwing with ABS. I put 8,000 miles on it before I sold it. I loved it except that it was a beast to maneuver. It also had amazing brakes. I ride with a scooter club here in Santa Cruz where most...

Re: valave adjustment,first time
I used to do this with my smaller underbone, all it takes is a good 30 minutes, including changing the oil. Now, I'm quite scared I might not have the patience to finish it, LOL. Why oh why did they designed it like this? Honda service in Thailand didn't check my valves at 1000 kms first service. Th...

Re: Honda PCX (150) Linked Brakes
TS intention for starting this thread is noble but the way he defends his ideas are a lil off putting. No need to close this thread, we just need to get it back right in track. When my PCX came from the dealer, the rear brakes are a little loose. A little adjustment did the trick though. Why want to...

The 2016 doesn't have any key. I attached the smart key to an ID strap and always wear it around my neck when riding.

Re: Yamaha's answer to the PCX... the XC155 !
I was actually choosing between the 2016 PCX and the NMAX 155 a few months back. The only reason why I choose the PCX is because the I like the way it looks. Haha NMAX is cheaper by around $200, has a lil bigger cc (155), 4 valves and the biggest difference is the ABS. I almost bought it. The 13&quo...

I stopped reading at " i have 1000 years of experience as a mechanic so I am the smartest guy here."
At topic: PCX's CBS seem to be working fine for me. Couple it with progressive braking and you'll be okay.

That has to be the best photo spread presentation I've ever seen in here. You not only capture the imagination without giving away the whole product you spent a moment with resize and layout... or is that 'tinypic' sortware. It has no visible image tag. Made that collage in a free online photo edit...

What it is for? If it is to temporarily cover a road damage, they should've put an early warning sign on the road.

Re: FOBO Tire Pressure Monitoring System
I do check my tire pressure twice a month with a 4$ tire pressure gauge. Pre-ride, usually just visual and feel check, which also gives me chances to see problems on tires, brakes, and what-not. This is cool actually, but I am still on the fence on putting another tech gadget on my scoot that will d...

Re: show your PCX
I might continue visiting Honda despite the poor service, just to get those stamps. Will just have maintenance checks in between with a different mechanic, though I still have to find a good and reliable one. On topic. I decided to go OCD on cleaning my PCX and did some scoot porn (doesn't sound rig...

Re: show your PCX
Went to Honda Service today for my first oil change (1000kms). It just took them 5 minutes, stamped my book and let me go for $4. Quite disappointing that they didn't even take some time to drain entirely the old oil. No check at all. Probably did you a favor, if they're that lame you don't want th...
