i'm back!

after about a year and a half, i couldn't stand being without a pcx150 scooter. i sold my 2015 because of the congestion of the roads in albany ny region. i missed it so bad i found a really clean used 2013 pcx150 (red) at a local dealer for a reasonable price with only 2600 miles and bought it. he ...

Saying goodbye to all my friends

Just wanted to say goodbye to all my friends at the pcx forum. I have traded my pcx150 for a motorcycle. It was a great machine and I had a blast! Over 3300 miles in 2 ny seasons. The problem was it was not fast enough for the highways and byways of the albany ny region. The traffic moves very fast ...

Re: New PCX 150

i installed the tall givi windshield on my 2016 pcx and it works great when it's cool out. good protection and no buffeting on my helmet. i can ride with the face shield up with no problem. i can just see over the shield but i am on the short side, about 5ft 7 inches on a good day. also put a top box...

Re: 35 year old disabled man loving his PCX. Intro topic.

I have had my pcx150 for a little over a year with about 2500 miles and love it. Some long trips and would have no doubts about touring on it. But,it's doesn't feel safe on an interstate. I wouldn't modify the running gear until it needs it either. Some complain about the rear shocks but I think a s...

south florida riding

was in the florida keys a couple of weeks ago and down to key west. had a great time and rented scooters for the day. ended up getting the sym mio 50's for my wife and i. i have to be honest, they rode well and handled great for a little scooter. seemed very much like the honda metros. coming from u...

Re: Heated grips

i purchased from twisted throttle some hand guards that are semi-hard instead of rigid and they work really well. they are flexible enough to bend when at full lock of steering on the handlebars to give enough when they hit my large givi winscreen. they also come closer around your hands to stop the...

Re: New PCX owner

i did the same thing, coming from many large cc motorcycles. after about a month i realized that the pcx was my "go to" bike all the time. have toured on it and rode around town. i don't know if i got lazy or just enjoy it more. seems to me, to handle better in most situations over the bike...

Re:cars verses scooters

i've had scooters and motorcycles for years. they are a little cheaper to run considering gas mileage and insurance but not that much. on the other side,if you enjoy your pcx like i do mine, you can not put a price on that. people spend a lot of money on fun things. some even buy airplanes and very ...

That's what the rev limiter does, shuts the engine down before any trouble occurs. Don't worry about it

Re: Leaving suspension as is

when i first bought my 2015 pcx150 i thought the rear was a little stiff. now that i'm up over 2000 miles, either i am used to it,or the shocks have loosened up. seems to be fine now. i was out for a 4 hour trip yesterday and seemed fine. i originally purchased mine for very short trips but as i road...

so sorry to hear that. take as a warning shot and run for cover. sounds like you lucked out a little, could have been a lot worst by the decription. take care of yourself and get better. never like to hear a fellow rider's bad story.
