Yes, this is a pain here too. Have to make sure there is a car ahead of you so you can get the light and turn. Kind of hard to do when there are no cars around to trip the light sensor. I make sure to plan another route that is either busy or find an intersection to turn that doesn't use a dedicated...

According to the 2013 - 2017 service manual, caliper pin, 13 lbs-ft (18 N-m). Axle nut, 44 lbs-ft (59 N-m).

Coming from a car polish enthusiast, your plan sounds fine. I would use microfiber towels instead of a chamois to dry the paint. I am not familiar with the polish in your link. I use Menzerna Powerlock polymer paint sealant that lasts for a few months then re-apply after a few months. A little goes ...
