Re: New Variator
Thank you all for the information. I plan on buying the whole kit, was listed for 319.99 plus shipping. Went to change the rollers and don't remember what size socket I needed 9mm or 8mm. For some reason my socket kit doesn't have that size. Swapping the parts won't be an issue. Won't be till next y...

Re: New Variator
Thank you for the reply. Winter time is coming and just financed a used 2015 KIA SOUL with 28885 miles with one owner at the time of purchase. So the Scooter is going into storage till next spring. It will give me time to save up for the kit. I have a new belt. Now I can buy my parts and not rely on...

New Variator
I originally had planned on replacing my rollers but curious if I should instead go with a aftermarket variator? If so, which brand and reputable site to order from.

Re: Should I just stick with premium fuel?
A article I read says when we use higher octane fuel in a engine that requires 86 octane we are wasting our money. Could be up for debate. The HM (Honda Manual) states 86 or higher can be used. I recently fueled up with 86 octane and it doesn't accelerate as fast as when I fuel up with 91 octane. Cu...

Re: Cold start issues
@Iceman
I contacted my Honda shop and they said it is the winter fuel. They add 10% ethanol to the gas during the winter months, why? I have no idea.

Re: Now that is rude!!
People these days drive like they just got their driver's license out of a cereal box. I could nitpick what that people do, as an example putting out there ciggerette by rubbing it on the rubber door seal of the bus instead of ground, etc. Watched a person cut me off while I was driving my rented U-...

Re: Rear Wheel Replacement
I know this is an old thread/post but it was one I started. I’m posting to share an update. My PCX has gone through three rear IRC’s (stock) tires. The second one went bald and took in a nail. Now my third went down to the wear marks with only about 3k miles on it. I’ve started a new job which has a...

Re: Rear Wheel Replacement
Turns out whatever I hit/rolled over punctured a hole and bent the rim, the part where the bead is. Tire shop nearby said they don't do small tires. Took my wheel to the Honda dealer service desk where they inflated the tire and that is when they showed me punctured spot. I looked at the tire and ov...

Re: Cold start issues
What I do and my bike does almost the same thing. Bike will start right up but if I shut it off quickly I then start to have issues. My solution is to hold the brakes, hit starter button and blip the throttle. Yes the manual says not to do this but it works every time. One suggestion is to leave it ...

Rear Wheel Replacement
I have read a few threads but decided to start my own. I own a 2017 PCX 150. My scooter (she) has 2500 miles on it. I was waiting to take her to the shop for her second P.M. But I recently hit (rolled over) something and it appears I may have just broke the bead which lead to a flat tire. Tried walk...
