Re: powerbypcx seats?
I have an entirely different seat from powerbypcx.com but the one thing I noticed was that the plastic frame was different from what is on the 150. That may be the reason it can be modified to so many different formats. We bought the one that sits very low because my wife is short. Some of the othe...

Re: powerbypcx seats?
I've got my PCX150 tweaked, except for the seat! I didn't like the little hump, so I took it off, and had a local upholstery guy fill the hole with foam and recover. But where it was filled in was kind of a hump, and it was not comfortable on long rides! I'm thinking of ordering one from Thailand P...

Re: Cool accessories?
How did you install the 12V adapter? THE must have is a GPS. Makes backroading SO much fun. The 12V adapter is great, put mine in glovebox. I also like the tall GIVI windscreen, but I wonder if I will want to take it down in the hot summer? Bought the socket on eBay and had a friend open up the fro...

Hey, what rack have you got? The base for the GIVI box?Taz wrote:My rack, means I can strap on bulky things. Have carried my sons cricket bag with bat, pads etc. No way that would fit into a topbox.

Re: Upgraded to PCX 150!
I did the same thing last year- but only had the Metro for a few months! Somehow I got it in my head last spring to get a scooter. I took a photo of a red/white Met I saw in Epping NH years ago, dug it up and decided THAT was the one to get. FOUND one on Craigs list, AND it fit in the back of my Sie...

Re: powerbypcx seats?
Why bother with stitching? Why not just use a stretchy marine vinyl like what was on the stock seat? Looks? (I would think it costs a lot more!?)

Re: powerbypcx seats?
Pretty well parked for the winter. It's getting up to 40F in the sun today so I've got the bike out for a startup and maybe a little ride (fill up and stabilizer).

Thanks, I think you sold me one! I'll re-work my own stock seat and pop the Airhawk for longer rides.

Re: powerbypcx seats?
Airhawk, eh? Just a quick look shows that they're not exactly cheap! $90-140... as much as a new seat. Worth it, if they work! Which one are you using?I still use an AirHawk cushion for my trips and would not think of traveling long distance without it.

Re: powerbypcx seats?
Hey, HawaiiJ, would love to see some photos...?
But as you're in Thailand, I would have thought you might get one of those powerbypcx seats! At least you could try them out (I would love to try, though the real test would be a 3 day ride)!

Re: powerbypcx seats?
Thanks, that seems to be the one they're recommending. Though it looks like their "hump" (backrest) is farther back (on TYPE3 http://www.powerbypcx.com/achat-selle-type3-carbone-coutures-rouge-noi-269439.html )? and surrounds your butt end... Could like that as well. Does LOOK comfortable!...

Re: powerbypcx seats?
Have been using the new seat since then with no problems. So, you swapped out the original stock seat. You like this one much better? ("no problems" doesn't sound like you're thrilled!?) (Oh, I also see "it's a heck of a lot more comfortable") Why did you pick this one of the va...

Re: powerbypcx seats?
?? Obviously not, as it wasn't the same upholstery guy. So mine didn't work out, his did. Maybe I should find out who it is and send it to HIS guy.And I'm sure you did EXACTLY what he did,
Meanwhile, I hope to find someone who's got a seat from powerbypcx. Thanks.
