Re: Aftermarket variator setup on 125
I purchased from Corsport. Total was 110 dollars. Plus, I had to buy a 22mm socket from the store. I borrowed a friend's electric impact wrench to do the job.87112 wrote:How much did the parts cost? I love my bike to bits just an extra little is all i ask.
Do it! You will like it!

Re: Aftermarket variator setup on 125
Give your new setup time to seat. I believe that it is just now starting to like the new setup. When I changed out ours it didn't have any improvement or a few days, and suddenly it just wanted to run....and it ran quite well then. Hi Mel, yes, I think it did need a few days for my belt to run in t...

New Suzuki Burgman 200 and 400
I stopped by the local Suzuki dealer and checked out the Burgman 200 and 400. I sat on them both. They felt very comfy. Nice seats and very easy to flat foot for me. I really like the 400.
I haven't seen a Forza in person yet. A maxi scooter may be in my future.

Re: Aftermarket variator setup on 125
Just blew passed you out to North ave. Back to 75th averaging 85mph and people still passing me. But I was on a Buell :) We need to take the Honda's out and let em rip in the slow lane and then get off and away from those nuts doing 95. You don't plan to were that hat out there do you? No, I wear m...

Re: Aftermarket variator setup on 125
I just went for a ride around the block. I saw 65 indicated on a level road with a full tuck behind the windscreen!
Surprised me.

Roosevelt to Butterfield on 355 works too. Toll gate never registers my transponder but if your plates are properly listed on I-pass website they credit you from the picture and I haven't been ticketed yet :) The new belt is slowing me down right now, guess it needs to break in. You have the faster...

Re: Aftermarket variator setup on 125
You updated everything except the belt, so how many miles were on that Belt? If it had more than 3,000 miles it will start losing speed from wear. You should have changed both the variator set and the belt if you had any miles on that belt. The clogged belt is a new innovation on the market. I thin...

Re: Aftermarket variator setup on 125
Hey Homie, What does the cogged belt do? I have seen your videos ( nice work btw!).
We could have a race sometime. That area of Weber road and 55 is kind of a pain to get to for me though. I am in Wheaton.
Thanks
Tom

Aftermarket variator setup on 125
I installed my NCY variator, drive face and 13g rollers today!
Works good. Very peppy. Holeshots are fun! Gained maybe 2 mph so far. May need some break in time?

Re: Helmet
I just ordered a HJC CL-17 White with Chrome shield from my local Honda dealer. They didn't have a white one in stock. It replaces my old HJC CL-12. Reasonably priced, and it fits good.

Re: PCX top speed
I have a 2011 PCX125. My bike tops out at 61-62 Mph indicated.
I have a NCY variator, 13g rollers and drive face on order. I hope to be able to do 65 mph.

Re: 2011-2013 Honda Oem tall windscreen
Nice where did you get it and what did it cost and how hard to put on. :D I found it on ebay. I paid 175 for it with free shipping. I think there is another on ebay from a different seller who wants 250. I was going to get the Givi, but I really wanted the Honda one. (It is probably made by Givi, I...

2011-2013 Honda Oem tall windscreen
I installed my Honda windscreen last night. I like it alot! A taller windscreen is a must have accessory. I rode about 40 miles today on mostly highway, 50 Mph zones. It is about 46°F and damp, a little windy too. I felt pretty good. It seemed like the bike likes it too.

I want a Forza too! I haven't seen one in person yet. I am 5'6" and it seems a little big for me. The seats on these scooters are just a little too wide.
I also wanted to buy a new pcx150 but couldn't justify paying 50% more.
Thanks for your reply.

Hey Mel, is the NCY golden variator the one I should get?
Do you guys recommend any particular vendor for these parts?
@hunkerman, I may have to get the cheeky cover, looks really nice!
I will be installing my new windscreen tomorrow.
Go Cubs!

Yuminashi 164 kit sure looks like fun. I do love to tinker. I really don't want to tear apart a perfectly good Honda engine though. I am going to have to order a service manual. I don't know the history of my bike, so I will have to check the valve clearance soon too. I am going to keep the center s...
