Handlebar muffs potential dangerous?
In my quest to get the scooter winter proof, I got a pair of these handlebar muffs: http://www.polo-motorrad.de/en/lenkerstulpen-windbreaker-97331.html Tried them yesterday and was scared by the fact that they compress the lever! Depending on how I move my hands and arms, the compression was quite s...

Re: [newbie - Ishida] New PCX fan from Brazil
Hi Edson, I did actually change my big bike for the PCX. I had a wonderful BMW F800S and enjoyed doing all sorts of cross - European trips, commuting into the city and participated in the National Road Rallye 2009; however the beemer was too cumbersome for practicality and it is great to just jump ...

Re: Termoscud or trousers?
Honestly, I do use Lidl motorbike trousers, I know they are cheap but I used them for 4 years on my big bike and they were spot on! Made with 500 Cordura, comfy, with vents for the hot time and warm for the winter! They feel more sturdy than the Alpinestar trousers I got later on! http://www.lidl-ni...

Re: Helmet reflective tape
Ordered from the same guys, delivery to the UK takes two weeks. Will tape chequers like the ones I have on my helmet to the scooter, in white reflective should make a nice contrast with the black paint.

Breakdown cover championship: The AA against the RAC!
My car is just over 3 years old and less than 45K miles and had a fatal transmission failure which prevented the front wheels from turning, but that is another story that I will sort out with warranty. What I thought would interest you is that especially with winter coming, I had a very interesting ...

Re: Brake lights in top box
I have just bought a secondhand Kappa K35, cleaned it all up, degreased the mechanism and both the baseplate and the lock mechanism are manufactured by Givi...would not surprise me if the whole units are. Anyway, the same as the Givi cases with the "fake" brake reflector/tail lights. By u...

Re: Brake lights in top box
There are some really great modifications some people do but I don't want to be drilling around through my topbox. That Factory kit for givi looks pretty good and I want to see if it fits in my Honda one, especially if the light assembly fits in my box' lens. If you have that one, can you see the wi...

Re: Brake lights in top box
Yep, something like that what I meant - just a little brighter. Do you know how easy it is? I imagine it to be not too difficult but I am wondering if I have to drill through the box, which I'd like to avoid.

Brake lights in top box
Hello, did anybody try to fit brake lights in their top box? There is a gap and a space that seems to be made for fitting some sort of light in the middle of the red plastic.

Re: tyres
Yes, tyre age is a big issue on the old continent as people usually have at least two sets of them for their cars (summer/winter). I have seen cases of retailers forced to take them back because they were too old to be safe (5+ years) and insurance companies reducing pay out because despite the trea...

Re: Kymco Agility 125
How is the political climate there? The last I heard from our around the world on a PCX rider, he was about to enter Turkey on the way to Iran. I wouldn't go to Iran or anywhere close to the border with Iran/Syria/Iraq, where I went 80% of people on the streets looked mostly British/German/Russian,...

Re: Hello all from the UK
Hello back from the UK :D And I also came from a BMW...and F800S. For my part I like the PCX because it makes sense in every way, just think that touring would be a little slower but then I don't do Pan-European trips all the time. Would love to have a little more punch and some more engine braking ...

4 years is the maximum you should use a tyre, beyond that the compound looses flexibility and hence, grip. Source? Several magazines and German insurance pay out practice...

Kymco Agility 125
Just back from two weeks of Turkey, where I had two different rides. One 4x4 with one BHP and a little Kymco Agility scooter. The 4x4 came with intelligent traction control on all four, whilst the Kymco was the most fun and cheapest way to get around in the city and even took us 2 up around some tec...
