Re: Big brother for my PCX
Ah the Street Rod. Buy trying to build a good motorcycle (and failing) Harley have just built a bad Harley. Maybe Harley riders foot Harleys around tight turns because of two things. 1: Harleys weigh a ton and handle like shit 2: Harley riders can't ride for shit Could be wrong of course as I frequ...

Re: Overfilled oil. Did i do any serious damage?
I still don't understand the logic behind their charges though. You would probably be best off asking the particular dealer on that one. I only know from limited experience of working for one franchised dealer, but we didn't have different rates for warranty- maintaining work. I apologise for being...

Re: Lust, isn't it an awful thing...
Street Twin would probably suit me better but man that Thruxton R sure is pretty. Much as I hate to be a fly in the ointment, but I've ridden a Speed Twin and found it a little "underwhelming." Frankly it was the most boring bike I've ever ridden. It was perhaps high hopes that clouded my...

Re: Overfilled oil. Did i do any serious damage?
You are paying the dealer to keep your warranty intact. That's what they charge and whether you accept it or not is up to you. Making a living, taking a risk, providing a service, filling up your oil to the correct level. It all costs. ;) Im paying for the oil to be changed which is exactly what it...

Re: Big brother for my PCX
Anyone else have a problem riding a scooter after riding a big bike?? Nope, neither does Him indoors, and he is from an older generation. Neither do any of our friends, some of whom are considerably older, and who ride a variety of machinery but manly Harleys and big Metric cruisers. Nobody h...

Re: Does size matter - or more to it?
You sit in it rather than on top of it like the PCX. That's an interesting point. Him indoors is 22 years older than me and he talks now about preferring to sit on rather than in a bike because of hip/knee issues (old injuries and age, though I don't mention the latter at home  ) Hence he feel...

Re: Does size matter - or more to it?
My thoughts are more ramblings, so sorry in advance. I took my motorcycle test simply because my ex wanted to ride a single seat bike and figured if I rode his second bike we could always meet up at destinations. So, I never got to ride around learning on a 125, I took intensive lessons, only rode a...

Re: Overfilled oil. Did i do any serious damage?
It is your responsibility to ensure that services are performed at the specified period and the service record is appropriately endorsed. In this way your machine will receive the full benefit of the Honda warranty. Although there is a large network of authorised Honda dealers, it is preferable tha...

Re: This ain't Key West!
By the way, any idea of how many cc's that bike has? It looks like it could be a 150cc. Way more dangerous than those 50cc bikes that can barely make it up a hill. It's the same as a Lifan LF150 T6 but without the Lifan logo on the side panel. I sold a fair few of those and worked on a fair few mor...

Re: Overfilled oil. Did i do any serious damage?
You are paying the dealer to keep your warranty intact. Huh?? The warranty comes from the manufacturer, not the dealer/service center, right? Or does Honda not reimburse for warranty repairs in the UK? What's the actual wording of the warranty's requirements for coverage? It is your responsibility ...

Re: Overfilled oil. Did i do any serious damage?
You haven't done any damage with a slight overfill. And besides that, there's no way that Honda world void your warranty if you have receipts to show you changed the oil. If a dealer tells you that, find another dealer. This dealer = stealer thing really pisses me off. The riders I knew who had thi...

Re: Big brother for my PCX
I love the Silverwing. We had a Suzuki Burgman 650 for Him indoors to take me pillion on when my hand was f***ed and I was pregnant. I did ride it (well you HAVE to if it's there don't you?) but it was a bit lardy for me. The Silverwing fits snugly into the big-enough-but-not-excessive category for ...

Well, guess what Lilly just added to the Tesco shopping list. These are great, but very different to the 'English muffins' that McDonalds do. What exactly do you Americans expect when you order and 'English muffin'? They were great yes, but I swear I could feel my waistline expanding whilst e...

Most forums don't have brilliant search functions.GeorgeSK wrote:the board's search function is bordering on useless.
What I find works is to do a Google search and add "pcx forum" to the search.
ie put, "Forza 300 tires pcx forum" in the Google search box.
