Re: Talk me into or out of buying a 300 Forza?
The V-Strom 650 is a great all-around bike and does everything well, is affordable and has low maintenance costs. It looks good, is easily customizable, and comfortable. The 300 Forza is a "scooter." "'Easy and simple to ride' does not make 'fun to ride.'"--(Adventure Bike TV) Be...

Re: Advice for anti theft
A heavy chain is cut with a portable grinder and a cutting wheel, not a torch. It's extremely fast. Just about any method of locking your bike is defeated quickly, an alarming disk lock is defeated with a wet towel and wheeled tray (like a skateboard with an indent), front brake lock by cutting the ...

Re: 2016 pcx150 warm up question
The different metals expand at different rates, so warming them up slowly helps them warm at more the same rate. The viscosity of the oil is WAY, WAY TOO THICK when starting a cold engine, as the operating temperature is generally around 205F and the starting temperature is under half that, so the v...

Re: Spark Plugs
Because the ceramic in the plugs can become brittle and flake off or crack off in chunks, which will trash the cylinder walls. Honda didn't pick service periods at random, it's a risk/outcome analysis they're highly skilled at. While most people will be fine without changing their plugs, a few won't...

Re: New specs electric PCX released!
The problem with electric vehicles is the battery replacement cost drives the price per mile up by about 10 times over the cost of the gasoline vehicle. The cost to charge an electric vehicle becomes a negligible factor compared to the cost of replacing the battery.

Re: Yamaha SMAX vs. PCX 150
Thanks for posting all the information, although I don't have the PCX anymore it was a great machine and I do miss how light and maneuverable it is, plus parking in tight spots is a dream! I'm not worried about high-quality LEDs burning out, the top manufacturers don't seem to have a problem with th...

Re: May Be Moving On from the PCX
...To sum it up the traffic in my area seems to have really increased just in the past few years... I remember seeing Kymco Like 50's, Vespa 50's, Zuma 50's, Rucks, Metros, and VIP's etc. . .around in numbers before that but not so much anymore. I think the MOPED type scooters are just being squeez...

Re: May Be Moving On from the PCX
Congratulations on the new bike, the wait is really tough! I get the part about step-through, but the rest is kind of baffling me. The PCX has the windshield, beautiful styling, larger wheels, and more power. The Zuma is almost as reliable, has more storage and grocery bag hooks, and needs more freq...

These are all over eBay and Amazon, it's not a huge secret. See if you can find them mentioned on other forums as working great, the best thing since sliced bread. (I haven't seen that...yet.)

Re: May Be Moving On from the PCX
Sorry to see you part with the PCX150, I just shot around town on it and it's quite the urban assault vehicle. Awesome acceleration, 111 miles to the gallon, spectacular looks, and legendary reliability. It's really quite the machine. Plus you're a long-standing member here, sorry to see you go. I d...

Re: Got a speeding ticket on my PCX.
The government has no legal authority to compel anyone to buy a product they don't want to buy, including insurance. How they can pass such laws without them being ruled unconstitutional is a complete money laundering scheme. It is in the interest of Public Safety to set some sort of driving rules, ...

Yup, love Homie's videos also! Makes it easy to judge the amount of effort needed to do the job, plus confirms what the manual is saying. Thanks Homie!

I kind of know engines too, because I actually work on them myself...
I also have panel removal tools, spare clips (for cars/trucks), etc., so am a bit prepared to pull panels on the PCX.

Mesh Armor
Now that the heat index here is over 100F and rising I'm looking into carriers for viscoelastic armor (flexible armor plating). Pants should protect butt, hips, knees. Shirt should protect back, chest, elbows, shoulders. Gloves should protect knuckles, palms. Explanation of viscoelastic armor: What ...

Re: PCX Valve Adjustment
There's a lot of threads where members try to convince each other the valves don't need adjustment. They do, here's why: Honda builds reliable, efficient, quiet engines. To get the most from them they need to be within specifications, and Honda clearly lays out what needs to be adjusted and when. Wi...

Those mirrors are a work of art! The stalks look better with your mod, and the backs--what an improvement! I don't mind the tribal pattern, but the faux bolts suck. The other mods are also very smart, the mirrors are simply over the top due to your redesign! Awesome job!
