Re: Tire size purchase problems?
If a shop ordered the wrong tires once, I would never use them again. I always buy my tires online myself sized to match what's on the bike. Partzilla is my go-to for everything scooter related.
I know the newer PCX has a 14 front 13 rear. Unlike the 14 front/rear like older model PCX's.

Re: honda discontinued the Idle Air Control Valve (IACV) for 2
You have the same issue I had way back in the days with my 2017. From what I learned, 2017 and some 2018 have cross over parts from the parts bin. The original sensor and the replacement might not be the same on the mounting surface either. What I had to do was change a small section of the wire har...

Re: 2016 PCX top speed!
By changing the weights you can get the engine to rev to max power rpm (8300?) which will increase top speed on a 125 to 122kph or about 75 mph. Your weight may vary. Larger drive face as you say will also help unless it raises the gearing to a point where the engine cannot rev to max. Thats incorr...

Re: 2016 PCX top speed!
My 2016 pcx150 is standard and tops out at 63 or 64mph. I was told if I change roller weights I could get 67 to 69mph. Mine has givi 30ltr top box and touring screen. It is grey colour. Awesome scooters. Change the Variator. Weights alone doesn't do much besides increase or decrease your accelerati...

Could be a plug behind the dash. Take a look under the front cowl.

How many miles on the bike?
I have over 7k miles and never had to adjust the valves once. Spot on at 6k.

Re: Stock variator performance
But from what you said it would seem that at least one of the three assumptions is inaccurate. From your years of experience can you tell me where I'm making my logical error. Thanks for your replies! I think you are forgetting the Contra Spring. The contra spring/torque spring is another factor. T...

Re: Stock variator performance
I run a tach on all my CVT bikes. Best way to properly tune the variator. I spent decades perfecting my CVT tuning skills for speed. Variator will never "consistently" start to shift at the same rpm. It's much more dependent on more load vs less load, a heavier rider vs a lighter rider or ...

Re: PCX Borekit upgrade Final Drive
I have taken apart my transmission a number of times. You will need a bearing puller, and you might be able to get a couple of the bearings off with some deep sockets. https://www.harborfreight.com/media/catalog/product/cache/c7f358f04aec81e7c5e0be4c56edf041/6/2/62601_zzz_alt1_500.jpg?auto=webp&...

You are better off hiding an air tag. This is going to drain your battery since it has to constantly be getting power.

Take it back to the dealer. Hard to diagnose from just that description.

Re: fuel tuner
Personally, if you are going to mess with the AF, I would recommend a wideband along with the Tuner. I have intake and exhaust, and just reading the plug it runs a pinch on the lean side. Only real benefit for a stock bore bike IMO would be is to raise the rev limiter assuming you are bouncing the l...

Re: Honda PCX or ADV?
If you ever plan to do some backroads/off roading/dirt riding, get an ADV. Better ground clearance.
PCX is for road riding only. Of course, you can go on dirt roads with a PCX but the ground clearance is not as good. Sleeker.

Re: Bits in the transmission
That's the bearing that failed on me. Mine was really hard to get out. I tried a bearing puller, but it kept slipping out. In the end had to weld a steel rod to the old bearing to pull it out. I can't believe you've been through 2 bearings. There must be a problem somewhere? A misalignment or simil...

With better efficiency you don't need as much fuel to go the same distance. Its not anything dramatically different. I wouldn't worry too much. A 4Gallon Tank would be amazing.

Depends what accessories you are looking for. I would recommend checking out Webike, make a big list and 1 time purchase so you can save on shipping.

What Voltage are you getting while you are pushing the start button? Is the kill switch on the run position?
Do you have the battery on a tender? Has the battery ever went dead? (Its very common that once these batteries go dead once, they are trash and need to be replaced.)
