Re: K&N Air filter Installation and Performance Analysis

I have (or had) K&N filters in all my 4 wheel toys over the last 25 years and have never had any issues caused by the filter. The butt dyno always shows some power improvement regardless of engine displacement, even when installing used K&N filters off ebay. I make sure not to over clean or ...

Re: Big brother for my PCX

Oh.. before I forget, Pirelli Diablos are really nice tires for Silver Wings. We did our short mountain ride today on the 'wings and it was an entirely different road. I almost forgot I wasn't on a sport/sport-standard bike!

Re: Big brother for my PCX

Some, and I can totally see how a Harley rider might have more issues trying to change to a scoot. Fortunately, the cure is more twist-n-go! I'm over 1200 miles on the PCX and S'Wing and I'm really not sure I will want to transition back.

Re: Big brother for my PCX

The tires are the original IRCs from 2007, so I have 2 sets of Pirelli Diablos coming. Did an oil change today, hers looked good, mine was a bit black. Added Seafoam to the gas when we filled up on the way back from Castle Rock tonight. Beautiful ride, other then I discovered my headlights are aimed...

Big brother for my PCX

Found a pair of low mile 2007 Silver Wings for sale and bought both of them. This one's mine, the GF rode hers to work today.

Re: Interesting...

IIRC, the original trick makes the ECU fatten the fuel curve because it thinks the incoming air is denser than it is. So the O2 sensor is probably also set to report a lean condition as well with this gizmo. If you've got no cat, probably no harm if you want to try it. I'd be curious if it really im...

Re: Interesting...

So it messes with the IAT and O2 sensors? That kinda sounds like the old dodgy trick to add a resistor to the IAT to make the ECU add more fuel to the mix with the added effect of gimmicking the O2 readings too. I can't imagine this is good for the catalytic converter.

Re: Lust, isn't it an awful thing...

I succumbed to my lust yesterday... the PCX now has a big brother (and technically a sister, you can see it in the background making laps).

Re: Forza 300 tires (probably again)

You can input sizes at a place like https://tiresize.com/calculator/ to get relative sizes and a visualization (will show car tires, but you get the idea). I didn't find anything that would be the same diameter but wider. You may be stuck with a Pirelli. For the 2 CityGrip sizes you mentioned, the 1...

Re: 1st ride in the mountains

@PCX150Rider - The entire ride was in the "foothills" near Denver. Lunch in Morrison, then rode west up to Kittridge, south thru Indian Hills to Deer Creek then Hildebrand Ranch Park and back to town. the pic of the 2 bikes was in Indian Hills, the one with the sign was in the park. Perfec...

1st ride in the mountains

Unfortunately, the video cam was having issues, but I have a couple stills. Beautiful day and nice ride other than a little pea gravel in places.

I skipped over PCXs with those miles at that price, but that was a month ago. It's riding season now so everything is more. I agree with GeorgeSK, find a friend with a truck or trailer or just ride it home. You should add your area to your profile, there might be someone close who is willing to help...

White is cooler in the sun, for sure. I went light gray this time as I didn't want to wait for a white one. I did upgrade it with 3M black reflective tape however
