Re: EFI and Non Ethanol Gas

I've been running 93 octane (just used to putting that in bikes), and I think we're on summer gas without ethanol. They commonly run 10% ethanol over the winter here and I've never heard any issues with that eating the fuel systems. I'm averaging around 100mpg riding mostly 40 mph streets.

Re: valve adjustment feeler gauges

Took me a minute. .009in is .229mm, but some of the posted specs say .24mm for the exhaust side. I'm going to wildly guess that .24 is a common size for metric only sets and .229 isn't? I don't know if that's the answer, but a range of .008 -.010 converts to .20-.25 so you're probably fine either wa...

Re: Where is the nearest gas station?

I'd probably trust the MSRs in the under seat as long as they were fastened down. They're designed for backpacks after all.

I love RotoPax - but those I want for my Jeep, and they are pricy and awkward for a scoot. Probably better for ADV bikes, IMO.

Re: Attempted theft...

Isn't the OEM lock cylinder replaceable? I seem to remember seeing that on the parts list. Based on the pics, that may be all you need.

Re: Arthroscopic Surgery today

I've had it both knee and an elbow, the knee only needed ibuprofen to keep up with the discomfort after the first day. Can't recommend arthroscopic enough.

Hope you're up and around as quickly as I was!

There was a recent thread on a SPY 5000M, 2 way alerting was one of it's tricks (also had starter kill and remote start).

That looks like the same vendor I googled earlier, they claim that they have bike specific diagrams and tech help... I'd take advantage of that and ask them for whatever they have.

Re: Front brake lever - getting a little hard to press smoot

lever stiction (you you)
caliper pin stiction (gn2)

Re: Front brake lever - getting a little hard to press smoot

I'm only a shade tree mechanic, but my first thought is that you need to bleed and flush the front brake system - that there's either water absorbed in the brake fluid or an air bubble somewhere. No system disassembly required beyond opening the reservoir and there are plenty of how-tos online. Homi...

I tried looking as well with no luck. Guessing they won't be common until the updated PCX makes it to the US. Dennis Kirk was the lowest I remember for the 90/90 at $44.

Totally agree about Slime. I personally carry Dynaplugs and a tiny air compressor - this lets me handle low tires along with flats.

I'm planning to install mine tomorrow as the GF and I are planning an 80+ mile trip on the scoots Tuesday if the weather holds. I'll take some pictures of the mount (and hopefully the trip!)

Re: 110/80-14 or 100/80-14 for front tire?

It's common in the car world to alter the tire sizes (ie. wider and lower profile) for better handling so this would be what they call a 'plus zero' in some circles... wider tire with approximately the same diameter on the same rim diameter. Some car manufacturers even offer these 'plus' sizes as fa...
