Does the 2015/16 Forza 300 utilise ACG (PCX start-system)?

I understand the ACG system as standard in the PCX - but does the Forza NSS300 (pre-2018) utilise the same combined starter and alternator system? Specs state that the Forza has a "self-starter' but also states that "ACG output is 380 watt"?

Re: The Forza 300 development timetable?

Wouldn't buy a 2013, you need to be looking at a 2014 or later imo. There's a 2016 advertised for just £100 more in biketrader... Its a private sale so you get to speak to the owner and get a better feel for how its been used and looked after. That's what I'm looking for - thank you - advice as to ...

Re: The Forza 300 development timetable?

Thanks gn2, I've followed the new release of the Forza 300 - the slimmed down body looking good - but economics dictate that I'll be looking at a used/old version - one UK advert is for a 2013 with ABS priced at £2795 with 2790 miles (yes, probably a typo by the advertiser) which could be interestin...

The Forza 300 development timetable?

The development of the PCX is often quoted in terms of roughly two-yearly increments. Since the introduction of the Forza 300 (2012?) have there been any significant developments through the passing years?

Re: Hello

For those of you based in the USA - we in the UK usually pay over the odds compared to you folk, however, the new model (125cc) is marketed here at the same price as the 'old' model - and they have ABS as standard.

As stated by Medicpcx - £2899 c/w ABS on front wheel.

Re: New PCX 1 Month use review

Thank you for that review - the first I've read from an UK owner.

And yes, special thanks for the mention of ...."The speedometer is able to show Miles and Kilometers per hours and can be easily changed between the two." I appreciated that ;) .

Re: Nice new PCX

The new 2018 model will be available in the UK any time now. I called into my local [UK] Dealership Thursday - June 28 - and was pleased to see a row of the new model PCX. I looked at the first in the row - Matte Grey, ABS, looked fine, but not my favourite. Next was a White - ABS, all good, third ...

The longer service interval for the 2019 model is also a bonus.

Re: Brand new uk pcx 125

Can't make my mind up re old or new style, price difference at the moment £200,I think the new front end is a bit OTT,but the supposed improvements to power, tank capacity etc is causing confusion. If anyone has ridden both can you say whether you noticed any difference in performance? I’ve misunders...

Re: Centre stand cracking problem.

The point is, with some investigating you will probably find that you can change the color if you want to mix things up a little just by changing some panels. They are easy enough to replace, once you have done it a few times. That is something I regard as a bonus with the PCX - no resprays, just &...

Re: Centre stand cracking problem.

Definitely the white I'm leaning that way ... although ... on a trike ... I'm not likely to lean. Seriously, the Red is so much like a much loved car I owned 20 years ago, it was followed by an identical model - even same colour with the same upholstery. But White appeals more as this is purely a s...

Re: Centre stand cracking problem.

Thanks everyone - good to know that that particular initial hiccup has been overcome.

Big decision soon - Pearl Siena Red (that's the dark metallic red here in the UK) or Pearl Cool White - and if that's the only major decision to be made, I'll be well lucky!

Thank you again.

Centre stand cracking problem.

When I 'move forward' on the purchase of a used PCX, I'll be looking at 2016/2017 examples. I've seen many with very, very small mileages - which suggests they've stood for some time on their centre stands. I recall that in the past, these stands were suspect, inasmuch as a number of them cracked at...

Re: Does size matter - or more to it?

Done a little more research on the Yuminashi 153cc, domed piston upgrade and that seems to be the answer (at first glance - there'll be much more research conducted!!!). This will give me the performance of the 150 plus a little promised extra. I'm not looking to race anyone, just to have the reserv...

Re: Does size matter - or more to it?

Thanks both - yes the PCX (especially in Pearl Siena Red) is a 'pretty' scooter and looks nicely balanced.

I've taken note Mel46, I've been reading about Dr What's it's sliders and rollers and have even thought of the 175 big bore kit. That would send my up my hills pretty quick  .

Re: Does size matter - or more to it?

I guess I've 'flip-flopped' around enough so now thank you all for your thoughts, observations and the experiences expressed. I really wanted the extra power and presence of the Forza as a trike, compared to the PCX125 as a trike - I felt the 3 wheeler drag and the local hills warranted a power boos...

Re: Does size matter - or more to it?

erisaman - what about something like the Piaggio MP3? Thanks for that - I had looked at them and, having enjoyed working with Yamaha outboards (2 stroke) twenty years ago, I looked at the Tricity, but somehow, that 'two in front and one behind' doesn't work for me - especially the sight of them tak...
