Re: what do you think about a fitted bed sheet for a cover?
the f-ing sun annoys me. I hate my bike sitting out in the hot sun all day. There is NO place to park it that isn't dusty and sun-baked. ugh. I know, from many years of welding, that UV's will pass right through a white shirt (or sheet) and and still burn my skin. Maybe something a little heavier a...

Re: Installed Givi rack and case
It's disappointing that Honda didn't design the rear handle on the PCX so that a standard Honda top box would fix straight on, as with some of their other scoots. It's a far more attractive, simpler and practical solution. A stock Honda part. My old SH150i box fits the PCX perfectly. I don't have t...

Dave in ref to your last sentence above, responding time does time out. How many minutes does one have? I'm not sure, but I do know a way around losing all that you type. When you start realizing that you're writing more more more and that time is fleeing, jump on that "Draft" button, the...

National Cycle windshield
Has anyone had any experience with this windshield? They say it's 16.5 inches 'vertical' from top of stock headlight shroud. I'm thinking it won't come near covering my face. The Givi 323DT is only an extra $30.00 but with the weird shape, can it be cut down a few inches if needed? https://fortnine....

Re: Why a WHITE helmet
I am going to try and sell my HJC black helmet on CL now after this thread. Made me notice white helmets stick out like a sore thumb out there. Maybe think about something like this also. The vest pocket on mine is so huge that I can actually carry envelopes in it when I need to mail stuff at the P...

How-To: Humpectomy
I took out the whole hump and reinforced the bottom of the seat with some light aluminum flat bar and pop rivets.
It's now going to the (pronounced Ghee) guy. He did a great job modding my old bike seat. Only a few blocks from me. This week??

Potholes
Went for a ride today and hit a few 'bumps' so I thought I'd check the
settings on the rear shocks and was 'shocked' to see that there are none. (WTF)
The front is suspension is a bit better than my old SH150i but the rear
is harsher.

SH150i top box fit
I got the new trunk mount bracket for the PCX from Honda.
Carefully drilled the 4 new holes (they are marked underneath)
in the grab handle cover. No, I didn't use a spade bit.
The top box from my 2010 SH150i fits perfectly.
A bit bigger than the GIVI and maybe a bit prettier with Honda logo on it.

Re: Humpectomy
Thanks for the reminder gn2. Had stationary windshields on my old Goldwing and of course the Vetter Windjammer on a 'Water Buffalo' but that was some time ago. I am planning to get a windshield for the PCX but haven't decided on the brand. Saw a pic of one that gave the hands some protection like my...

After a bit of searching I found some great info and pics on how to help with the first thing I didn't like about my PCX. The seat just didn't do it for me. Struggled with the seat on my SH150i much of last summer and was just getting a little more comfortable with it (after a few strip downs and re...
