Re: Hybrid PCX
I love the idea and I have really enjoyed Honda's hybrid systems in the past as they tended not to be intrusive in a bad way on the driving experience (and added to it in cars like the CR-Z), but the mileage would be something like 119mpg according to that link, and that is a gain, but I get about 1...

Re: Mileage of your PCX
Just under 10,000 miles now, mine is a 2011 but, so far everything seems to be running great, my front tire is a little old, but otherwise seems pretty great. If I don't trade it in, I will keep using it as my standard commuter, but that is only going to be about 3-4K miles a year unless I get a dif...

Re: Parking - Should center stand/parking brake always be us
Honestly I rarely use the parking brake with the kickstand as I only use it when I am getting off and back on relatively quickly on flat ground, so it just doesn't get used much. Most of the time, I am using the center stand with the steering lock without the parking brake. It takes up less space, d...

Re: 2019 PCX 150 performance
Was that 150kph on the built in speedo or a GPS? Either way my 2011 PCX with nearly 10K miles now will hit 63mph, so the only reason for the 2019 model to be slower would be the gearing being different, though I don't see why they would do that as the PCX already had plenty of acceleration no real r...

Re: DO you really dislike shifting?
I would like to shift if I were doing something performance oriented maybe. When I was a teenager I had a few five speed cars and that was kinda fun, then I drove heavy trucks with 8-13 unsyncronized gears for a few years and after that shifting felt kinda like work, as in my mind I associated shift...

Re: Comparison to other scooters
The Smax feels like it performs better in general, has better instrumentation too. The Smax stock seems to have better storage since it has the grocery hook and the grab handles are easy to bungie cord things onto. Without a top case or luggage rack, I often have to hunt for an okay spot to tie thin...

Re: Freeway riding
I honestly can't say as I bought mine used if it came stock that color or not, I wouldn't trust the title which does say red, but, when it came in the mail it said VTX750 as the model number, which took me some time at the title place to clear up. I mostly go up and down highway 7 where 55mph is fin...

Re: Freeway riding
I am a bit jealous, everyone keeps talking about these speeds, but I don't think I have ever exceeded 45mph on I-5 here near Seattle, it is mostly an exercise in moving a few feet at a time! On the rare occasion that I do get to go that fast on roads like 167 I find I can't maintain over 60mph, big ...
