Re: Fuel economy drop after changing rear tyre
I think I figured out what was causing the fuel economy drop. After checking the torque on the axle nut and other things suggested on this thread, everything seemed to be normal! But now I think I was mistakenly correlating the time of the tyre change the the fuel economy drop. Looking at my fuel da...

A few tips for motorcycle and scooter riders to promote better fuel economy. :geek: :D Nice to see a video from India, my home country. Fuel Economy is definitely a top priority in India! It might have rubbed on me a bit as well  Reminds me of an advertisement tzW7Sxzkr1Y "Kitna deti hai&...

Re: Idling Stop works intermittently
Thanks! I'll check the voltage tonight. But if it does turn up that the battery voltage is less than 12.4V or so, do you think the battery needs replacing, or could I make it better by charging it fully? Thanks!

Idling Stop works intermittently
Hello everyone, The automatic start/stop system in my 2015 PCX 125 works sometimes. So, I understand that after starting off it takes a while for it to come up once the vehicle is 'warm enough'. But mine never seems to start working. But let's say after about 10-15 minutes of riding, if I switch off...

Hi iceman, could you share what are these 'non-pcx' style pads that you mentioned? I'm curious!iceman wrote:The clutch pads looked ok too but I will fit the 'non-pcx' style to aid smoother take-off.

Re: Fuel economy drop after changing rear tyre
Hi springer1, not sure if I quite get you. When I try to spin the rear wheel on the centre stand, I can hardly get one complete turn with a lot of force. What I meant by not being 100% sure was that, I have a feeling it was pretty much the same even before the tyre change. I don't think I could get ...

Re: Fuel economy drop after changing rear tyre
Hello everyone, Thanks for the tips! - The new tyre is the exact same size specifications as the previous one. - It's hard to say about the extra resistance when I try to spin the wheel on the centre stand. I do feel that there is a slight increase in resistance than before, but that could just be c...

Fuel economy drop after changing rear tyre
Hello everyone, I got a new rear tyre fitted in a workshop since the earlier one had already had a couple of patch-jobs and it was time to get a new one. With the new tyre, I don't notice any difference in handling compared to before, but the fuel economy has definitely become worse. The onboard com...

Re: Rear Wheel noise
Thanks Homie! The note that came with mine asked me to apply 15g of grease in the areas. Mine came with in a tube exactly like this: https://www.powerbypcx.com/1164-large_default/face-set-driven-clutch-honda-pcx-125150-v3-2014-2015-2016-2017-23205-k35-v00.jpg And the tube contained indeed 15g of gre...

Re: Rear Wheel noise
Yes managed to do it myself. Although in my excitement i broke one of the clutch springs (it was totally unnecessary for this job to touch the springs!) So I replaced the springs too. I used the grease that came with the assembly. And I used this video as a guide: https://youtu.be/hkTkCqSo18E I don'...

Re: Rear Wheel noise
Hello everyone, This thread was of so much help! I bought a 2015 PCX a few months ago, and since I bought it it had this rear wheel noise, and I thought it was normal! But after coming across this and changing 'part 8' it's completely gone! I can't believe how quiet it is when I'm rolling the scoote...

Re: GFM or KVB
Thanks for the info! I would think that either part number would be valid. I'm not so sure about this because in all the supplier websites I can see that the KVB model costs a couple of bucks more than the GFM ones! The part you linked to only has one number, 22350-GFM-900 (22350GFM900 is the same b...

GFM or KVB
Hello everyone, I've been looking at ordering some OEM parts, and I'm noticing some parts which have two model numbers, one with GFM in it and the other with KVB in it. For example, the part labelled (2) here - https://www.bike-parts-honda.com/honda-motorcycle/125-SCOOTER/PCX/2015/WW125EX2F/Engine/D...

Hello everyone! New PCX owner
Hello everyone! Just thought I'd pop in to say hi! I moved to the Netherlands about 6 weeks ago and soon I got myself a PCX - a 2015 silver model. I absolutely love it so far! I am not using it for commuting since I have a reasonably short commute and it's quicker by bicycle! But I have been riding ...
