Awww, Mel. I feel your loss and sadness. My condolences.
FWIW, the 1st anniversary of my dog, Shorty's, passing was Sept. 20. I miss that little guy STILL!!!

Re: Honda ADV150 - pcx upgrade
There's rumoured to be a 300 version in the pipeline. I just tuned in on this thread. A 150 ADV,....sigh Okay. But a 200-300 I'd Want! and probably the best suited size for this fresh sporty looker. I've been a fan of the X-ADV 750 since it's birth. Never arrived here in the States. Okay I swallow ...

You won't forget the PCX. I didn't. It's a fine machine . . ..![]()
Thanks so much. Ride safely!Old Grinner wrote: If I was going to get a lightweight sport bike though the CBR300R would be high on my list.

Goodbye, Hello
Goodbye 2018 PCX. Hello 2020 CB300R ABS.
I didn't think I wanted another motorcycle but after seeing the 2020 CB3R in matte blue with bronze fork and rims, I just had to get one.
So, goodbye PCX. I loved you for over a year and 1011 miles. Looking forward to lots of fun with my new CB!

Re: NJ to CA PCX 150 ride completed - Part II
Thank you guys for the kind words. Mel, my dad drives semi truck around the lower 48 states so when he had a delivery from LA to NJ and happened to have an empty area on the trailer, we just loaded the bike at this ramp and he dropped it off at my brother's house 4 days later. :) I actually met him...

Re: Camera for PCX
My setup is pretty simple. I have a GoPro 5 mounted on a "GoPro Chesty" harness that I put over my riding jacket. I don't like anything mounted on my helmet or on the bike; video is way too choppy. https://bit.ly/2XDtv1s Edit: Just wanted to add that I will never buy another GoPro camera e...

Re: Why a WHITE helmet
I currently have a Shoei (for me) and an AGV (for my daughters) helmet. I can definitely tell the difference in the quality, the Shoei being superior. I've researched Arai helmets, and they seem to be a very premium brand as well. I've found this "whitish" Arai Oriental, which looks very ...

Regarding bears - We do a lot of camping and I carry this device with me just in case we run into any bears. So far, I've never had to use it.

Man, I wish I had the adventure in me to do a trip like this. Let's not keep asking him "Why"? Just give him the information he needs, share some tips and advice, and wish him luck. It would definitely be an experience of a lifetime. I certainly hope he can do it and share his experiences ...

Re: After 1st service, a little rough going
Did you put some fuel stabilizer in yet? It is quite possible that you have some water in your tank. If so, then the fuel will separate from the water, but the fuel indicator float won't know the difference, so it will all be seen as fuel. Put some Seafoam in.... and then don't take a chance until ...

Re: After 1st service, a little rough going
Just an update -- I've already noticed a BIG improvement after replacing the "roadside assistance" gas with my normal high octane. It WAS the gas! I'm sure of it now. I'll do the ECU reset this weekend when I'll have more time. Still wondering, though, why the fuel gauge wasn't blinking be...

Reboot the ECU by disconnecting the negative battery cable from the battery for 30 minutes… That should do it… My mechanic ask me once why I was riding with a fuel can strapped to my saddle and I said... so I can help forum members document how long after the low fuel indicator we could expect to g...

Re: After 1st service, a little rough going
You might try some kind of fuel stabilizer, if there is still some of that old gas in the tank. Otherwise, put known good gas in, reset the ecu, and fire it up. The ECU learns riding habits, so it needs to "unlearn". As for the fuel indicator, that is hard to say but it is possible that t...
