Re: It's Raining......

Nope . . . it's not raining here today. It's worse . . . snow and wind. Windchill factor between 5 and 10 F. Winds still 30 MPH plus. I don't think I'd have fun even if I was on a snowmobile. So, no scooter rides until the roads are clear and the salt has dissipated. That could be a few days....

A sponge is better. Oh yeah . . . there's a variety of methods to get that pesky goo off the hoof . . . I mean roof. My understanding was that the tall boots would help vertically challenged folks to see over the top of the car roof better. For vans I suggest a step stool or 3 step ladder. Yo...

Re: New Kymco scooters. What do you guys think?

I wonder why sight glasses for engine oil are very rare or non-existent in scooters. Cost more than the dipsticks? Fail more often? I actually have never seen a scooter with a sight glass. Yamaha Zuma 125 has the oil dipstick . . .. Yamaha XMax 300 has the sight glass . . .. TBH I prefer a sight gl...

Re: 2021 Honda PCX "160"

Our solution eventually was a really tall pair of boots.
Glad they worked out for your wife Mel . . ..

They also come in handy when trying to clean bird droppings off the roof of a car.

Re: Engine light stays on, bike won't start

It all makes me wonder if that PCX was exposed to a lot of rainy weather or high humidity all the time.

Switches can corrode under the plastic covers.

Salty air from the ocean can be damaging also.

Make sure the side stand is up all the way and make sure you are pulling on the rear brake lever hard enough.

Re: 2021 Honda PCX "160"

I watched some YouTube videos about the new 2021 PCX 160. I didn't see any with drum rear brakes. With the new frame design I guess you can now get a helmet under the seat in the lower forward area of the compartment. Of course that is something you've always got to check for yourself at a dealer if...

Re: 2021 Honda PCX "160"

Great post WN! :D I could be mistaken but I detect a slight difference in the contour of the seat. If they made it more comfortable for larger riders that would be a huge plus. And I do like the fact they've finally added the rear disc brake. That said, I felt the drum brake on my 2017 was adequate....

Re: What bike got you into this?

One of these . . .. It would do a little more than 60 MPH. On the left side there is a lever on the transmission to transfer from 4 spd low to 4 spd high.

Learned a lot early that lasted me long time.
