Re: I never lend my scooter to anyone

Christ and Buddha would be sad. Yup. . .they sure would! I deal direct with the manufacturer. No middle men required from my point of view. When you get too many fingers in the pie it messes things up. The universal law is "Do not bug thy neighbor". :D All you need is Love. . .one of the ...

Re: don't trust your "right of way" to save your day

Complacency has never killed a single person. I think Steve Irwin believed that complacency leads to trouble when you are dealing with dangerous things. Something I remembered from one of his episodes. A bit of wisdom he said his Father passed on to him. Between 10 and 20 seconds into the video he ...

Re: It's Raining......

Question is When Will It Stop? Done for now I think until Tuesday or Wednesday. . .. The next weekend is looking better so far though. Cooler, less humid, sunny. . .. The weather forecaster said that this is the third worst Summer for rain in CT according to record. The 1955 and 2011 seasons still ...

Re: don't trust your "right of way" to save your day

This morning I was out on my PCX, which doesn't weight enough to compete for space against a SUV. I was sitting at a 4 way light, getting ready to turn left. The green arrow came on, I flipped my visor down, getting ready to go, the car behind me impatiently beeped his horn... and an SUV went throu...

Re: don't trust your "right of way" to save your day

It's happening all over the planet. Don't take it too harshly. There is an endless supply of negative waves and those who surf the negative waves. o_O The upside to it is eventually their foolish behavior will catch up with them and one can only hope their demise doesn't effect some innocent person ...

Re: Mod my horn for easier reach

I'm thinking of just wiring the horn in live with the switch just there to turn it off. It's the only way to be safe. Well that and painting myself like a banana and covering myself with xmas tree lights obviously. Hook up a loud speaker that repeats a recording every few seconds in conjunction wit...

Re: Mod my horn for easier reach

Could not find a pressure switch but I find this at the hardware store. Not ideal over the above idea but still has a more natural access then thumbing across the handlebars for the horn when you need it. Thanks for the fun today, now what can we do for kicks and giggles on my channel? Nice job on ...

Re: Mod my horn for easier reach

Used my horn early yesterday evening on a guy in a huge SUV leaving a golf course. He was just entering the shoulder of the road coming out of the parking lot when I realized he isn't going to stop. Hence, I beeped and he stopped abruptly. Then I looked at him and the passenger as I passed by...

Re: Mod my horn for easier reach

This is how the horn button, turn signal switch, and Hi/Lo Beam switch is arranged on my new 2018 Zuma 125. It's what I'm used to. It's the way it's been on all the previous machines I've owned/ridden. I can find it in a split second whether I'm wearing Winter riding gloves or no gloves. . .it's a c...

Re: Zuma 125

Now that the rain will be gone for a few days (it poured inches yesterday) I've been able to get out more on the new Zuma. . .almost have my first 100 miles on it now. I took it for a ride in some dark areas and back roads tonight to further test the effectiveness of the headlights. Long story short...

Re: I never lend my scooter to anyone

I think that what we can all learn from this is that it's best to treat others how we ourselves would like to be treated. :D That said, hurtful life experiences can have a lingering effect on our well being and outlook on life thus causing some apprehension and pause in our approach to certain decis...

Re: I never lend my scooter to anyone

When it comes to family members and close friends I lend Yes, I have to agree about family or children. That to me is a different situation and depending upon the situation you just have to use good judgement. I was noting in the context of the borrower being non-family. Don't mean to sound cheap b...

Re: After one year with a Liberty150i ABS

I saw "Robot's" review. He mentioned about the ample leg clearance when turning the handlebars fully right or left. . .no interference. The dash layout is similar to the Vespa. 8)
