Re: I never lend my scooter to anyone

I think you meant "lend"? To lend somebody something with the expectation it will be returned in the condition it was in when you "lent" it? :geek: That said life is just full of disappointing experiences. Without disappointment there would be no joy. . .hence the "Yin"...

OK. . .so it was supposed to start at 10:00AM. It figures. . .George and Alice always hold up the show. Just how much longer do you think we should wait?

Re: Joe Rocket Atomic 5 Jacket

Got the new jacket yesterday. :D I ordered a 2X. It "just" fits me. Translation - I can zip it up without the liner in it and the Velcro side adjusters set about as loose as they can be. The sleeves are perfect length though. . .. It's well made for sure. That said they aren't designed for...

Re: I think I screwed up!

The one lesson that I have learned in life is that being kind to others is way more satisfying than collecting all of the physical things you can grab in life. So true. . .. :D Sometimes it takes someone an entire lifetime to finally discover that. And sometimes they never do and go to the grave et...

Re: Zuma 125

Probably covered in another thread, but why get rid of a PCX and choose this scooter? Long story short I found the reverse location of the horn button and turn signal switch an annoyance. After riding 50 years I'm conditioned in an emergency to naturally reach for the horn button down low. I found ...

Re: Zuma 125

Lovely bike. Glad you are enjoying it. Out of curiosity what are the white corrugated pipes from you and your neighbors house for? Thank you. . .I've got about 30 miles on it now. . .just taking it easy breaking it in with strong surges of throttle at low speeds to seat the rings. Those white thing...

Re: Zuma 125

Wood is fine, but does it really need to be cantilevered back so far? The pillion would have to be comatose to flop back far enough to use the backrest. If the wood does start to bother you, a quick spray with matte black and your in stealth mode. The scoot itself, however, looks fabulous. Enjoy! O...

Re: Zuma 125

Get rid of the board, it looks homemade .....go find yourself a piece of 1/2 inch black plex, Matte colored… I know. . .but it's organic. Next time I'm in Home Depot or Lowes I'll take a look at what they have. A few other notes about the machine after a ride last night. . . 1) I do miss the ...

Re: AMA hillclimb near Reading PA in September

Looks like fun! I used to go to the ones up in Monson, MA. Haven't been in a while. Maybe I'll get to the one they are having Sept. 30th. Time will tell. . .. I guess I should start riding the motorcycle more to see if I can still go the distance. http://www.monsonmonster.com/schedule/45709219...

Re: May Be Moving On from the PCX

FWIW I sent a note to Honda about the frustration I had with the location of the turn signals and horn on my PCX and mentioned about the limited comfort of the seat design for some people. It will be interesting to see what their feedback is. I've been a good customer to Honda and it wasn't easy for...

Joe Rocket Atomic 5 Jacket

I just ordered one the Joe Rocket Atomic 5 performance jackets in Hi Viz/Black. It seems to get really good reviews. . .is priced very well. . .and has armor in the shoulders, elbows, and back. The back armor is "upgradeable". Some places I looked were sold out in my size. So I guess it's ...

Re: 40,000,000 cans of STP

During the warmer months I add MMO to my gas in the bikes. In the cooler months, or when the humidity is really excessive, I pour in some Startron fuel additive to reduce phasing. When it's cold out I don't ride the motorcycles as much so the gas tends to sit longer in between fill ups. Have to say ...
