Just a quick update for other who are experiencing battery drain. In my case was Datatool tracker that was stuck in alerting mode after I cancelled the subscription.

Re: Idling stop stopped working after drained battery
The alternator is showing 14.55v and when I turn on the grips it's oscilating from 14,25v -> 14.5. I didn't use the grips much in the last week but they worked without issues when I tested them. I didn't check the current usage with them being turned on.

Re: Idling stop stopped working after drained battery
I thought 40ma is low drain since I have Datatool GPS tracker, alarm and Oxford heated grips.

Re: Idling stop stopped working after drained battery
I have checked the current drain when bike is switched off and it's 0.04 amps. I have also attached the battery to Optimate charges which shows it as healthy. Not sure why idle/stop doesn't work.

Re: Idle/Stop problems
My idle/stop stopped working after the battery got drained. Never an issue before even with heated grips on. I jump started the bike and later charged the battery with optimate which showed it as healthy. Can you ask what was the issue when the dealer fixes it?

Re: Idling stop stopped working after drained battery
Just had a conversation with the dealer, they said most likely the tracker drained the battery. I'm surprised as I believe Datatool doesn't update GPS location unless the bike is being nudged.

Re: Idling stop stopped working after drained battery
I didn't take the bike for a second service (did it myself) so I think I might have lost the warranty :-)

Re: Idling stop stopped working after drained battery
I have oxford heated grips (fitted by the dealer), datatool tracker and the alarm. I left it before for over 2 weeks but didn't have an issue starting it. I was trying to find a lithium battery but I don't see Shido model for 2019 version.

Idling stop stopped working after drained battery
I have a PCX 2019 model. I left it in the garage for 2 weeks and the battery got drained so I had to jump start it. After riding it for 2 days (over 4 hours in total) I wanted to enable idling stop but it didn't work. Basically, the green A light goes on and it switches off after 2 seconds. I have p...

Re: How-To: Oil Change For Honda PCX
I wish it had a paper filter too, but since it takes such a small amount of oil to do a change, And I use and oil drain valve, it's easy to change the oil more often, which I do every six months. Then again realize these little PCX scooters are sold in Third World countries where they get very bad ...

Re: How-To: Oil Change For Honda PCX
Does anyone know how effective is the strainer comparing to proper oil filter? I'm surprised PCX is not using paper filter.

Re: Oxford heated grips appears not properly installed
I think it's the wire from the heated grips stopping it from going all the way back. Open the throttle full and some more and see if the grip slides on the tube. If it does add some glue and adjust the throttle cable to suit. You are right, I adjusted the routing of the wire and it's still slightly...

Re: Oxford heated grips appears not properly installed
The grips are properly glued, I need to check if the grip rubber on the bar end is touching the bar weight as that might be a problem. Mine does that sometimes when they get hot. Different effect for me - free cruise control   Try a squirt of WD40 where the rubber and metal touch? I'm tak...

Re: Where did my oil go?
Is it normal for the bike to burn oil during the break in period? The reason I'm asking is that when I took it from the shop and driven 80 miles, it was way above the maximum. I have taken out 0.7dl (less than 10%) and checked the level again, it was showing a little bit over the maximum. One day l...

Re: Oxford heated grips appears not properly installed
I have checked once again. The dealer definitely didn't replace the plastic tube. The problem is most likely with the cable, it's either wrongly routed or it needs adjustment at the engine side. I will take it to the dealer for inspection.

Re: Oxford heated grips appears not properly installed
My thought is that they stripped it apart because even when I close the throttle to the very end it feels soft, not solid, like it came to an end. I think I will have to open and check.
