Re: Hesitation/stutter off the line-the fix
I also have this vibration/shudder in my 2017. If one were to just replace parts, what would need to be replaced? The complete clutch?

Re: I want to add a turn on-off switch for the lights on a P
I have mine set to daytime running(light is technically off) The outer perimeter led stays on when moto is on, when I flip the light switch, the actual headlight comes on. Definitely looks better IMO this way.

Re: I want to add a turn on-off switch for the lights on a P
What?? You should check the law yourself to see if someone is feeding you a line of bull. Almost every scooter and motorcycle manufacturer now wires the headlights into the ignition switch. Hahaha, law? If you get flagged, you pay. It does not matter what the 'law` is here. Over here you pay, it do...

Do you still need this? I took pics when the shop (idiot ) installed mine. I understand the OP, it's illegal to have your lights on during the day. When you get flagged down by the police you have to pay a bribe.

Re: Horn Mod... accessibility
HOW TO ADD A 5 SECOND MODULATOR TO THE HORN: PCX2016, if you only want that 5 second mod to work on the new switch you would have to wire it separately by connecting that switch to a modulator and then to the horn itself. Essentially, it would be a separate horn button. Right now I have my air horn...

Low power on acceleration / roughness at low rpm
I have a 17 and it has a low power during acceleration. It also has a roughness during the very low end acceleration.
This is a separate post as I have isolated the problem. This may be a variator problem but I am not sure.

Re: 2017 runs rough during low RPM
The strong vibration during the low end was fixed; I believe they changed the flywheel. Yesterday the service engine light came on right when I got home, the moto shut off. This morning it started no problem, however, the svc engine light was on the whole way to work. When I got to work I had my wif...

Re: 2017 runs rough during low RPM
Pure speculation, but if they replaced the Engine Control Unit (ECU), it has to "learn" your environment and driving style. Wait a week (or 250-300 km) before panicking, but if it is still an issue, go back to the shop. It might, however, be a good idea to alert them to your issue pretty ...

2017 runs rough during low RPM
I sold my 2016 and picked up a 2017 with 1100 kilometers on it. The next day after starting the engine, the check engine light went off. I returned to the shop and they changed out some box I think. Sitting on the bike, the bix was on the left side (internally). Now the check engine light is out, bu...

I know this thread is old, but with great information! Something I was wondering and nobody mentioned actually using a wider rim. all of these tyre changes (bigger and wider) are on the stock rim? Mine is 2016

Re: Plastic maintenance
Really, I cant see doing any paint and prep work on these scooters, as the plastic parts, completely painted and ready to go, are cheap. Partzilla, for example, has each piece for about $35 which includes shipping. At that price, I'd just replace. When I lived in America my monthly expenses were ov...

Re: next size up tyre
I am betting that the new size tires will fit the older model PCX. However, finding them may be a bit of a challenge, especially since many manufacturers have not ramped up production of the new sizes yet. Still, I would love to be able to try the new sizes on my bike. How much do you want to bet? ...

Re: next size up tyre
I got a 2018 french model, and the new size is 100-80-14 and 120-70-14 rear. It is a significant size change from the previous model and the tires looks way bigger. (i owned a 2017 too) I can confirm the handling is better in corners. (and ABS is a huge improvement) But the rims are way wider or th...

Re: next size up tyre
Or better yet. I want to match the sizes that are coming stock on the 2018. So I believe it is 100/80/14 and 120/70/14? I am seeing these 2018's (of course more now that I want the tyres) all over town and they look great. I personally want it for other reasons, but the look is an added benefit.
