Re: 100,000 mile scooters
How many of those do you think you've gone through,Dave? Still on my original at 30,000 mi When I take the muffler off, usually open that nut that compresses the gasket extra loose and then wiggle the exhaust enough to open the gasket wide enough so it goes back on rather easily [so far, so good] Kn...

Re: How-To: Replace A Headlight Bulb
You need protection for your fingers [rubber glove, or strip of rubber to get a decent grip. That first one is real tight....... as you noticed.
Just now went out and removed mine to verify that it comes out just like a screw. [c clockwise] protect fingers....... and you'll get it out.

Mine was made there also (Thailand) I Should have said C. clockwise if you are looking from the riders seat , forward.
If looking at the bulb from in front of the scooter,[through the glass] then clockwise. [removed it just now to double check]

Re: headlight replacement
The bulb comes out as a screw would come out. (c. clockwise] Some rubber gloves or a strip of tire tube wrapped will protect your fingers and give you
better results. Had the same issue as you.............perseverance will get you there. Need that protection for the fingers though.

Have had similar issues with my PCX . Your last post [ 150 PCXER] proves the readings are bogus. Wish Honda would go to the " oil window"

One more thing........[Peter Faulk moment] On the 2013 PCX.......The removal of the under step body part isn't necessary, if you have a i/4 inch
ratchet. with proper socket. That one hidden bolt is accessible .

Re: Whine when throttle open about 1/8
I've had many motorcycles over the years and most of them had an "unsweet" spot somewhere in the RPM range. 1 , 2, or 4cyl included.
Even the GoldWing [1980] Comparatively slight and hardly noticeable on the road. Maybe the 6 cyl are smooth throughout the range.

Re: Whine when throttle open about 1/8
The fact that the whine disappears at higher RPM's is good thing. My PCX has a whine that correlates to 25-30 mph. It's been that way for ages.
Not sure ours have the same causes or not?? Never have been able to figure what causes mine but @ 69 K , not worried about it.

Re: Average mpg
I have a 2013 PCX [w/o the computer] and routinely get around 130 mpg USA [during summer] Think with "your" gallon, 150 mpg may be accurate. My Forza does have the computer and it agrees with a calculator [close] much of the time. Really amazing [accuracy]. Enjoy your new ride..........

Re: Drive belt age (maintenance)
Mine was built in Thailand. You bring up an interesting point/question. Pretty sure when ordering the belt,I specified it was for a 2014 Forza. Was sent belt #23100-K04-932. [Honda's [oem parts list] specifies # 23100-KTW-901 BELT, DRIVE (MITSUBOSHI)(replaces 23100-K04-931). [No mention of the belt ...

Re: Drive belt age (maintenance)
What year/how many miles? My belts don't get to age very much.....If that was my situation......[old belt with few miles], might be inclined to put
a new one on and keep the old one as a spare.
