Re: questions from a soon-to-be rider
20191127_144918 (2).jpg My wife has a 2016 PCX150. I love it, but for my 12 mile commute to work I wanted something with a little more power. Also wanted a higher seat and leg room, and larger wheels so it handled more like the motorcycles I am used to riding. After researching, I decided on a Kymc...

Re: a bad idea
I have a friend that lives in a very large development that has " two lane roundabouts" about every 1/2 to 3/4 miles. He likes them, and has to use them whenever He goes out to ride. He had a BMW R1200rt at the time and was complaining about the wear pattern of his front tire. The left sid...

Re: This is me!
I love my wife's PCX150. But I wanted a little more power. I have had larger scooters before but they were bulky heavy and too hard to remove plastic when servicing.(Yamaha Majesty 400, and Suzuki Burgman 650 )After working on my son's Genuine Hooligan 170i which is so simple to remove body work to ...

Did they skip or not import the 2014 PCX150 to USA.
I have never seen one for sale?
Lots of 2013, 2015's, but never a 2014?

Re: Width vs burgman 400
I had a Yamaha Majesty 400 that my wife reluctantly rode. She is 5'3" but the seat width was too much.
She sat on a Forza at the dealer, but did not like it's seat and lower width either.
She loves her 2016 PCX. I do too.

Re: NJ to CA PCX 150 ride completed - Part II
Congratulations! On a great trip with the PCX. I know the heat was an issue. Years ago I was out in Nevada with a 1986 1200 Goldwing. The front two carbs, got so hot they vapor locked. I would shut the bike down for half an hour till it cooled off, then was able to go again under all four cylinders....

Re: Whats a fair price to offer for this 13 150?
I surf Craigslist every day. And I search all cities even as far as 600 miles away. I bought a 2016 pcx150 in November of 2017 . Owner was asking $2200 I bought it for $2000 it had 1450 miles on it. READ the reviews and updates to the PCX150 over the years. I did, before I started looking for one. I...

To really get your new tires warmed up so you can get them on easier.
Place them in a black plastic bag, and put it in the sun.

Re: Trufuel ethanol free gas
I run ethanol-free gas all the time in our pcx150. Actually get better fuel mileage with it. If your doing that few miles on it, I surely would put ethanol-free gas in it. And a stabilizer. I have seen first hand what damage ethanol gas does if it sets. Because it absorbs water! Do you want water in...

Re: My new 2010 SH150
There have been a couple of them on Craigslist here in Florida in the past 6 months. I have thought about maybe buying one, but I can buy a 2016 or newer pcx150 for the same price. Plus the SH's still have original tires that would need replacing just because of age! I would not ride on a nine year ...

And the mods I read on this thread, are all done on the 2013 model.
Has anyone done this to the 2016 or newer. I would like to hear your results.

Re: New member, with a question
Cycleruss, If you decide to try to improve the top end on your bike, here are some things you can do. 1. If your belt has over 5,000 miles on it your top end will go down. 2. The stock variator was chosen by Honda for economy, not higher top end. Buy a NCY variator and drive face. 3. You may as wel...

Re: New member, with a question
I remember reading about the different changes made through the years when I was first researching the pcx150 before I bought one. There where slight changes made to the motor. I think I read about the 2016 having had a governed top speed. That being said, our 2016 tops out at 62 mph. And it won't g...

Re: Windshields, helmet buffeting, and top end speed issues.
I bought a used Slipstreamer windshield off Craigslist for $40. It mounts with brackets on the handle bar. Not as sleek as the ones that bolt in the stock position. BUT IT WORKS GREAT! It allows air up and under, no buffeting. You can adjust the lean angle, and the height. It blocks the wind more be...

Re: Hello from Central Florida
Still, once you get use to taking them apart you will be doing all the maintenance yourself. One question though. If the bike only had 1,500 miles on it, why did the tire need changing? (I should talk. I changed my tires as soon as I bought my bike. I love Michelin City Grips, so that is what I hav...

Re: Hello from Central Florida
Not only is the panelling complicated, but some fasteners are hard brittle plastic and easily broken on first contact. I've had an experienced Honda technician break the nose clip on mine. I changed it around 4,500 miles. I was surprised it was worn out at that mileage. I am used to (motorcycles) g...

Hello from Central Florida
I have been lurking on the forum since purchasing a 2016 PCX150 almost a year and a half ago. I owned a Yamaha Majesty 400 that I put 30,000 miles on., My wife road it briefly, but contended that it was too wide and heavy. Also I owned a Suzuki Burgman 650 that I have since sold.(after putting 25,00...
