Re: Introducing Ourselves!
Love to, Joe! Do you ever get up to Whatcom County? I don't get down to King County much, but I bet we could hook up some time in Snohomish County or Skagit County for some backroads rides! I really enjoyed going from Sumas to near the end of the road on the Mount Baker Highway! Hey Pat. We met a f...

Hey Pat. We met a few times with my dad's C-Dory. He's Martin. I'm Joe. I have a PCX 150. We should scoot around some time. Joe.

Re: Another tire change / Input thread
Nope. I got these little plastic rim protectors from Amazon. They worked a treat as I think they say on the other side of the pond.homie wrote:Interesting, changing your own tires. Did either of your scuff up your rims like the so called professionals do?

Another tire change / Input thread
So I have a PCX that only has 3500 miles on it. The rear tire was probably worn half way, and I didn't really need to change it. However, I've always felt the stock IRCs didn't feel too grippy in the cold and wet, and I live in Seattle. Anyway, I changed the rear to a City Grip, and I'm happy with t...

Re: Heated jacket on an Auxilery Battery
Just another data point for others searching this in the future. I have a PCX with the stock battery. I have had no problems running a Gerbings jacket and gloves. I only do this on rides where I'm cruising, and I've never tried it out in a ton of stop and go traffic, but it works just fine for me. T...

Re: Tucano Urbano Leg Cover Review (initial impressions)
So, I live in Seattle, and I have the leg cover and the mitts on my PCX. I don't even bother to take them off in the summer now. They are great in cool wet weather. Love them.

Yeah, I did the mod shown here to move the hump back just that little bit, and it made all the difference. I'm about 5' 11."
Thanks Internet.

Re: what is the best way to shade your eyes?
Yeah, I have a dark drop down visor in my helmet, but it is not dark enough for going into low sun. A strip of electrical tape on the visor made a world of difference.

Re: Ride Comfort
I would love to buy some YSS or other aftermarket, but they seem insanely pricy in the old US of A. And shipping from the online places was as much as the shocks. Hopefully someone will stock them here.

Re: USB Power and GPS
Oh, and I just moved the hump back a little less than an inch with the highly technical "drill a couple other holes" mod. It is perfect for me. And free. Free is nice. SInce I live where it rains all the time, I sealed up all the holes with silicone while I was at it. Nice.

Re: USB Power and GPS
Hey, I like the bike GPS because I already owned it, and it gives me some capability I don't have with the phone. First, even without the USB power, it will run for something like 16 hours on the battery. Second, I don't mind leaving it sitting in the rain. Third, I like the ability to plot routes a...

The cylinder is a little mount used on bikes to add accessories. http://www.evanscycles.com/products/minoura/sg1-space-grip-bar-extension-120mm-ec009105 I use bikeroutetoaster to make courses. It is a pretty tricky web program, but it works. I'll add some better pictures. My gloves are sitting in fr...

USB Power and GPS
Hey, Well I've got almost 2000 miles on the 150 now, and it has just been great. Today I added a little avionics. I'm a cyclist, and I had this nice little waterproof GPS. I added a little bicycle accessory mount to the bars and put a waterproof USP outlet in as well. I ran the power from the switch...
