Re: nail in Maxxis - no patch kit!
I have a compressor and Camel brand sticky strings with the fitting tools under my seat, my old CB500F had 2 string repairs in the rear tyre with a plug also for 3000 miles, no problem, I have the stop and go kit also but have not tried it. When i changed the tyre on the 500 I tried pulling the stri...

Re: Right Front Panel Swap
If its a solid colour, take panel of use plastic welding or fiberglass matting on rear and repaint, check American and Thai sites for prices as Babbits shows the front right panel for the 150cc model is $12.90 https://www.hondapartshouse.com/oemparts/a/hon/5b3b8d6787a866066886db64/front-cover I know...

Re: Service
£160 for an oil change  , I got quoted similar for my first service, did it myself, do you trust them enough to believe they will do the valve inspection?, if there are panels to remove on the 125 put some clear sticky tape on them and see if its been removed when you get it back. mark the nuts...

Re: How many miles do you have on your PCX
What possible reason does the UK have for showing the age of a vehicle on its license plate? Maybe I should not expect any sense from a country that drives on the WRONG SIDE OF THE ROAD! But I still have a fond spot in my heart for the Brits, and I do care for the Queen (but not so much the rest of...

Re: How many miles do you have on your PCX
Ah yes the good old dated reg plate, it’s really done that way to make people feel a lower class and get you keep up with the Joneses, omg your car is three years old, next door has a new one, quick acquire more debt so you look successful and well off and can let everyone know by (insert your choic...

Re: Oil Smells of Fuel
ta mate, it doesnt burn oil, but it was warm today, well warm for us in the UK, I was test riding a CRF250l which was horrible to ride and gutless, then a NC750X nice but numb hands started to appear, in fact I was kind of glad to get back in my Forza, might just try the 10w40.

Oil Smells of Fuel
Hi, Today I checked my oil and noticed it smelled of fuel. It hasn't done this before but it's a warm day and I wonder if this has anything to do with it. I'm thinking of putting some 10w40 in as I have 3 liters of it left from my bike and don't really want to run it on the contaminated fuel. Bike h...

Re: PCX Vario cover corrosion?
Hi, Its probably from a stone chip from another vehicle passing by, if you ride on our crappy salt roads in the winter it wont take long for the salt to react with the ally. If you catch it early you can get away with cleaning and repainting but I bet if you take the paint off first it might have ea...

Hi, So i have found the YSS front suspension kit for the new Forza 300 Y-FCC28-KIT-01-018, everywhere i looked just showed the 13-17 models kit, the question is will it be worth the £200 asking price?, I nearly part xed it because of the soft front end that bottoms out too easily with my svelte 106k...

Re: Spare hex key only?
I have two of those type keys for my Forza300, they are for opening the seat in an emergency as its keyless, you pull the panel off and use the key to open the seat, then you can use the emergency override thingy after you enter the code and it lets you start the bike and get you home. I assume in c...

Hi Has Anybody used this site before, when I asked Honda UK for a workshop manual they said they didn't print them any more and referred me to this site. http://www.techinfo.honda-eu.com/home I'm assuming it will have an online access to the relevant service and repair manual for all Honda bikes tha...

Re: new bike
Great bikes but check underneath on the welds going up towards the seat, ive seen a few rust spots on brand new bikes right on the weld, sorted mine on the day i got it home with Jenolite and new paint, only a few small spots but in the UK you need to be on top of it. you need to be om your back loo...

Hi,
Yes i used HiFlo before, i just thought it strange as i thought these scoots were made in Italy for the European market and since they are one big happy family why would they be using US filters and not french for there OEM filters, Honda filters are £10 and HiFlo about £6, another Euro mystery.

Oil Change
Today I dropped the oil on my Forza, I did notice the filter that came with the bike was made in the US and the replacement was a Purolater made in France, I saw nothing unusual in the engine oil so all seems good there. I also changed the final drive oil, it was very dark with a light brown film on...

Re: Service intervals/costs
Well it seems there was a mistake in price for the first service...... it was £120, its now £160 ($205), apparently 120 was for the 125 version, Honda made them put the price up before xmas, so Honda controls the dealerships rates?, ^&^%$$ thieves, so nearly 5k to buy then try and stiff you more...

Re: Service intervals/costs
I called Wigan Honda today for a quote on the first service, £120 for an oil and filter change and as she said a quick look over the bike, and as there is no late evening or Saturday morning service, i would have to take a half day at work so I either loose holidays or cash, which brings it close to...

Re: Service intervals/costs
Hi, I see that point but if I chose to do my own servicing and the first oil change and something like head bearings fail as you have said, I dont see how Honda could refuse the warranty repair as i followed there service schedule. It states an oil and filter change at 600 miles and nothing else, I ...
