Re: Luggage
This thread is a bit old, but here goes. 1) Note the the SH300 rack is plastic. 2) Store the supplied top box, it's too small, non-standard fitting, a bugger to open or close. 3) Drill some holes and fit a givi top plate, I mostly use an E45 box. 4) I may look into adding a pannier bracket in the fu...

Re: Back tire has a slow leak I can't find. What to do?
The standard shop method of finding a leak is to remove the wheel, pump it up, then submerge in a tank of water. The max psi listed on the tyre is the max safe pressure for use, that is its definition. For my PCX that is currently 41 rear & 33 front. Been using this value on all my bikes for ove...

Re: How-to: PCX Seat Hump Removal
Well, I finally got mine done by the local bike seat chap (photos to follow). He sewed in a patch of 'grippy' material to tidy up the cover. He also says that he'll do this to a seat in good condition for £100 including return postage to UK customers. Search 'SmartRRRs designs' for his details, he's...

One of the options I'm considering.
If you extend the rack mounting threads out of the bottom of the grabrail you should be able to mount one to the underside.

Seat hump mods.
Has anyone got a pic of just the base plate of the seat hump for a 2010-2013?
Still looking at seat options and mounting a flat cushion to the hump base may be a cheap alternative to a custom seat.

If you don't wear a lid then how about in-ear headphones? As far as the mount goes: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Tigra-Sport-MountCase-Universal-6-Bike-Kit-Mount-Holder-For-UpTo-6-0-Smartphone/113747814321?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649 They also do specific mounts for ...

Re: Taller, wider mirrors?
I've got a pair of these on my 2012.
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/PAIR-OF-CHRO ... SwwcRab3uG
Gives me an extra 1/2 inch of mirror on the outside and allows me to rotate them in for going down alleys.

Re: Honda NC750X DCT... how does it compare to a PCX?
An NC700/750 is what I'm aiming for as my next distance work bike.
Just waiting 'til one comes up in my price range.
Only problem I've heard of with them is a manufacturer recall for the DCT boxes over a 2 year period (stops changing gear).
125mph & 70-80mpg, what's not to like

Re: It's Electric!
I'm current watching and waiting for something suitable to be released. The zero is far too expensive (£10,000-20,000). Most of the others are too slow and too short ranged. Best option I've seen so far is the latest one from Urban (top speed of 58mph, range of 60 miles & cost of £4,000-£5,500)....

I don't see the attraction of this new version.
Same spec as the original but 40mpg less, single seat and less storage options

I'd pay a visit to my local industrial bearing suppliers with the specs of the original bearings, they probably have needle bearing alternatives.

Re: Excited PCX owner......Pictures
Nice, is that colour what Honda call black?
Better than the standard gloss black most peds use
Go easy on the throttle & brakes at low speed, they are really responsive (especially the left lever).
Previous owner of mine managed 10 yards before falling off

Re: Trufuel ethanol free gas
Honda recommend maximum 10% ethanol. The PCX I just bought had done 100 miles in the last 2 years. The last time it was used was to take it for MoT 3 months ago. Knowing local supplies, I assume it had 5% in. After charging the battery & pumping up the tyres, it handled the 125 mile trip home wi...

And (in the UK at least) a big bore kit would make it illegal, unless you register the change in engine size.
