Re: First ride on my PCX....

Was looking forward to another ride today - a test run to a new job location where I will be starting in a couple of weeks however I woke up this morning with a really sore & painful lower neck / shoulder so decided to leave it for today... as I can hardly turn my head to do a shoulder check etc...

Re: First ride on my PCX....

Thanks Guys. Took it out for a bit further today, to visit my dad which was 25 mile round trip. Not particularly far I know, but it certainly felt like it for my 2nd time ever out on the road on my own! Was a good ride, as it took me on a good stretch of the A6 (single carriageway) which let me expe...

Re: godamnit... I just 'failed' my CBT! :(

Well done. I have bad hearing loss and can not use a radio. On cbt I was given directions. I would then stop and get more directions. Did same when I passed my DAS. Who needs radio gear :-) :) my instructor told me "if you lose the radio connection, don't worry. Just ride wherever you want to ...

First ride on my PCX....

After passing my CBT earlier on today, I just went for my first ever ride on my PCX. I loved it! :) Such a smooth ride compared to the clunky old mopeds I used on my CBT. Didn't go to far (just over 10 miles this time) and it went really well (apart from impatient car drivers right up my arse on an ...

Re: godamnit... I just 'failed' my CBT! :(

Well, just took my CBT again and passed this time! :D I had a different instructor, and although he gave me critique where needed, he somehow made me feel a lot more confident than the other guy. Feels good to pass! Although I still had loads of problems with the radio / headset again (had to stop w...

Re: Hello all! New PCX owner with couple of questions! :)

Oh, oh, oh...I thought the dealer threw in all that wearing gear. When I read that you got the gear With your scoot my mouth dropped! I thought that was major cool of Them! Now I understand, you payed out the dough. Ok, I get it. The shell is kinda expensive but the guy selling one on Modern Vespa ...

Re: Trousers for very short riders!

Have you tried them sitting on the bike. The knee armour rises as you sit Sitting on the bike I still need to 'hitch' the trousers up a little bit to make sure they are fully covering my knee cap. And I al really not happy at how much they seem to move around... can't imagine if I came off the bike...

Re: Trousers for very short riders!

Well, my Extra Short trousers arrived today.... they fit fine round the waist, the length is fine, however the knee armour is too low, and does not cover my knees at all (and is not adjustable) I think I'm going to have to accept that for my height / leg length I will struggle to find anything off t...

Re: Hello all! New PCX owner with couple of questions! :)

:P Hooray! So exciting! Congrats on getting your scoot! Will you be giving it a name? Now I see you have a dilemma keeping her securely anchored. I just read about this item for sale on another forum: http://www.cycleshell.com and thought I'd pass the idea along. gse123, will you be storing your sc...

Re: Hello all! New PCX owner with couple of questions! :)

Thanks! I think it is just soil / mud under the gravel so an anchor would probably not be effective there. The only other thing I have to anchor it to is that white drain pipe in the background, but it would only take about 10 seconds to get through that.

Trousers for very short riders!

I have just received delivery of my PCX, and along with it, the dealer included a textile armoured Jacket, Trousers, Gloves and Helmet, which was great. They all all fine apart from the trousers that are ok round the waist, but massively too long (I am only 5'4). If I attempt to shorted them myself,...

Re: Hello all! New PCX owner with couple of questions! :)

Well, my PCX was delivered safely today in all it's candy red glory! It is actually seems larger than I remember from when I last sat one one (a couple of months ago) and the side gate / path area I had designated to keep it proved a little tight... but just managed to squeeze it past! Although I ha...

Re: godamnit... I just 'failed' my CBT! :(

You wont be able to do your CBT on your own bike without any motorbike insurance and I don`t think you can get any insurance without passing your CBT first. why would you want to risk dropping your new bike on your CBT remember there are old but well maintained bikes for a reason new riders do drop...

Gse123 where are you located? Maybe someone here is close and could help out I'm in Kettering, Northamptonshire :) I have just spoken to a friend of my Wife's who said he would be happy to ride my PCX over to the CBT location for me, provided it was at a weekend.. which is good! Will certainly be a...
