Re: godamnit... I just 'failed' my CBT! :(

It must have been a pretty dangerous situation you put yourself in. Cant blame the equipment as you could have told them you wanted proper equipment but you chose to carry on even though you found the equipment not up to standard. Better luck next time I admit the dodgy roundabout manoeuvre, and th...

Re: godamnit... I just 'failed' my CBT! :(

Sorry for your misfortune. Why don’t you wait until you can take your PCX down there for the test? You’d save a bunch of cash, and could show your skills on the bike you are familiar with and enjoy riding. . That would be ideal... but unfortunately I don't think I know anyone local that would be ab...

Re: godamnit... I just 'failed' my CBT! :(

That sounds a bit dodgy. I've read about some places failing people so they have to pay extra to do it again - I wonder if this was partly to do with it? I know when my boyfriend and I did the course, he hesitated a few times with things but the tutor told him he would have to see him do it properl...

godamnit... I just 'failed' my CBT! :(

I always thought the CBT was something that was almost impossible not to pass (unless you knocked someone ever in the street etc!) but having just done mine I was told that I would need to come back and do it again. Their reasoning was that I hesitated at a big roundabout , and came within a distanc...

Re: Lost my hump for £30

I don't actually get my PCX for another week or so, but I'm not predicting the hump to be an issue for me, as I'm only 5'4 ... What concerns me more is the reach distance to the brake levers. I can see myself investing in some adjustable levers to suit my small hands!

Looks good - they did a great job! And very cost effectively too.

Re: Hello all! New PCX owner with couple of questions! :)

Thanks for all the comments guys! I now have a clear picture of what I am going to do: 1. Front wheel: Disc Lock with Alarm 2. Rear wheel: chain, or another regular disc lock, which will be secured by a blob of chewing gum 3. Good all weather cover 4. Good insurance! :) you cant get a rear disc loc...

Re: Hello all! New PCX owner with couple of questions! :)

Thank you all!

Figurehead71 - I've looked at the Xena disc lock alarm, but have read that I can be set off by heavy rain / wind etc. Have you experienced this yourself?

Get good insurance.
Mine sits outside unlocked and uncovered but I live in a very quiet small village.
Hello and thanks!

I live in a fairly quiet area of a small town, but I just want to be as careful as possible.

Any insurers you would recommend that would cover theft?

Re: Hello all! New PCX owner with couple of questions! :)

Welcome! where are you from? When I had my gixer, i was parked at the front of the house but it was on the drive so is slightly hidden, i used a rain proof cover which is quite good. A rear chain is better than a front one unless its alarmed, its even better if you can chain the bike to a pole or s...

Hello all! New PCX owner with couple of questions! :)

Hi all, I am new to the PCX owners club... well - I will be in a week when it is delivered! I am a complete scooter noob, in the sense that I haven't even taken my CBT yet! (got that on Saturday). I don't drive at all, and have been getting public transport to work for the last god knows how many ye...
