Transmission making clickity noise after replacing CVT belt and got transmission cleaned at dealer

My 2018 or 19 PCX 150 is at 25k kilometer and I took it in to replace the CVT Belt. Dealer inspected the transmission and suggested their cleaning service which I agreed to. Long story short I ended up replacing the belt, spark plugs, air filter, and the aforementioned transmission cleaning. After I...

Re: Honda PCX 150 Custom Rear Shock Spring

The rear spring is actually pretty soft as carrying a passenger actually makes the rear drop down considerably. I really wouldn't mess with the spring rates as the dampers won't match and it'll just be going down a never ending hole of spring too soft, dampers too hard etc. If you're looking to chan...

Re: ADV150 rear shocks on 2013 PCX150

My personal PCX just hast the stock springs/dampers but I've been a passenger on another scooter that had after market shocks and it rode smoother(or at least felt smoother) than my PCX. I don't know how harsh that scooter rides on stock springs but it is noticibly softer than my own PCX. I have the...

Re: Do you feel comfortable taking your PCX 150 on the freeway?

If my PCX was in the US where I live, I would only take it on the freeway for 1 or maximum 2 exits and get off. It's just too slow and light for anything but a short hop in the right lane. It would be very very nerve wracking. In Asia, like Taiwan for instance. The elevated roads are limited to 300c...

Re: Pcx 125 (21/22 model) handlebar movement

I don't know what's causing that besides maybe it's not fastened down correctly at the triple tree.

And if you need confirmation... no that is not normal.

Re: Master fuse to cut all power to scooter?

Disconnect one wire from the battery, put your multimeter in the mode to measure current (set it on the highest current mode or you could blow the fuse within the multimeter - unlikely but still better safe then sorry) and connect one wire of the multimeter to the battery the other to the wire that...

Re: Master fuse to cut all power to scooter?

Seriously, think about it ……..Honda would not make a scooter that would go dead in a month with any type of smart key system. What you say makes sense... but I've already gone through 3 batteries that have all died basically just sitting there being drained. It might not be the smartkey system but ...

Master fuse to cut all power to scooter?

Hi so I'm getting pretty tired of coming back to a dead scooter everytime I have to leave for over a month. I'm sure it's getting drained out by the smart key system which is just constantly waiting for a signal. I always turn off the keyfob when I park it for the night so that's not the way to turn...

Re: Bumpy Ride With New Tires

The City Grip tires have harder sidewalls and you'll feel more of the bumps. I ran them 30 front and 28 rear and it feels smoother. However do this at your own risk especially if you tend to ride long distances at higher speeds. I ride in a urban environment with only short blasts up to 80ish and us...

Re: What size tires do I buy?

The City Grip 2 are good tires. I've tried both these and Pirelli Angel Scooter and found the City Grip to warm up much faster(basically 0 warm up time) and the Angel Scooter requiring about 10 - 15 minutes of warmup time even in hot SE asian weather before they're gripping well.

Re: How big a top box do you like?

I don't have a top box... but if I was going to get one, I'd get one that's slightly narrower than the front handle bar and in the tallest size they come in.

Already ugly, might as well make it ugly but super useful!

Re: Tire recommendation?

Just thought I'd post this information. I had to get a new front tire yesterday and I tried to put on City Grip 2 100/90/14 and this tire is too tall to clear the front mud guard. It will rub against it. I ended up going with another front Angel Scooter 100/80/14 as they didn't have city grips in th...

Re: New PCX 160 - is it getting smoother over time?

My stock suspension 2018 PCX has just passed 14k kilometers and I've noticed the bike's suspension has mellowed out. Like the rear springs have gone softer so I'm not feeling EVERY little bump which makes for a smoother ride. Far as I can tell, riding characteristics still good and not overly soft. ...

Re: "Clunk" sound from front fork

I'm not sure what it might be, it's like a metallic clunk like metal hitting metal. I can't feel the clunk in the handle bar either, only hear it. The front forks have gotten pretty soft after 11k KM, think the problem might go away if I get the fork oil changed?

"Clunk" sound from front fork

So my PCX ever since new had this "clunk" sound whenever the front suspension compresses past a certain point. If I hold the front brakes and push hard down on the front forks, it will make the sound. The front suspension feels fine and aside from the annoying "CLUNK" every time ...

Re: Starting Problem

I had a similar problem on my 2018 PCX 150. First of all, make sure you're pulling in the rear brake lever hard in. I don't know why Honda decided to make it so you have to pull the brake lever in so far to be able to start the bike... but make sure you're pulling it HARD in. Also check your key's b...

Re: shuddering clutch on 2016 pcx 150?

I used to hold rear brakes hard down, then hold throttle wide open for about 2 to 5 seconds. That makes it very smooth. This is the correct answer. Just to clarify for others, need to hold the RIGHT brake lever, which is rather convenient since your right hand will be on throttle. I prefer to upgra...
