Re: Headlight bulb replacement
Success! -- I designed and manufactured a tool. Took a 12-inch piece of stout wire (not sure what diameter). Bent it in half and then bent fingers (about 3/8-inch long) at the opposite end at right angles. Inserted the fingers into the back of the bulb base and it easily turned the base and allowed ...

Headlight bulb replacement
Trying to change headlight bulb on PCX 125. Sure, I found the bulb and removed the rubber cover, but can't get the bulb base to rotate. I must be getting weak. Wish there was a tool. Not much room to use tools either. --Oldtimer79

Re: Best Oil to use
Hi Guys:
Thanks for the feedback. One of my maintenance manuals says "don't use automobile oil". However, Mobil 1 is accepted as one of the best. --Oldtimer79

Re: Upgrading headlight bulbs to LED
Getting back to the HS5 12V35/30W bulb, what would be the best and brightest replacement bulb to use?

Upgrading headlight bulbs to LED
Getting to replace HS5 12V 35/30 headlight bulbs on my PCX. Was wondering if it possible to upgrade the HS5 with an LED bulb. It would be brighter. Is it a good idea?

Re: Electrical voltage fluxes
Hi Jge64: Got new battery -- great no problems. Now--next day no starter at all?? Troubleshot as best I could. Can't find anything. Starter relay is not activating/ rear brake light operates/ Kill switch should be OK -- nothing would change that. Sidestand switch seems normal although it looks a lik...

Re: Electrical voltage fluxes
Hi Jge64: Took battery to J&P cycle center. They did load test. They told me the battery was about 50% down from new -- but with enough energy to be satisfactory. I will buy a new battery anyway because it looks to be the original battery which would be 9 years old. Meanwhile . . . back at the r...

Re: Electrical voltage fluxes
Thanks, Jge64. I'll do that and get back. The symptom is even present with the trickle charger connected and indicating a fully charged battery.

Voltage on batt about 12.7 when not running. Then rises normally to about 14v. when reved up.

Electrical voltage fluxes
Electrical voltage fluxes when reved up on stand causing lights to "twinkle". Normal condition when idling. Meter on battery posts confirms. Honda PCX 125 with 12,000 miles. Engine runs smoothly.
