Re: How to: Valve Adjustment for Honda PCX
Man that sucks. If its going to take that long why not grab it from the dealer and open it up again in the morning when it's nice and cool? If you have all the plastics off and double check your work and it still knocks, you could bring it back to the dealer without the plastics on and that would al...

Re: How to: Valve Adjustment for Honda PCX
And yes the valve adjustment is every 2500 miles for both the 125 and 150, but you will probably be fine doing it every 4000 miles after your initial adjustment

Re: How to: Valve Adjustment for Honda PCX
Dealers in CA charge between $300 and $400 for a service. You could probably save a lot of coin by removing the plastics yourself and having the dealer do the adjustment only, but honestly removing the plastics is the hardest part. To do this yourself will only cost you $2 for some gasket sealant. I...

Re: Tricks for Removing Front Wheel?
hey thanks for the tips guys! I wound up getting my neighbor to sit on the back seat propping up the front wheel... Took it off, and then put a rubbermaid container with towels in it underneath the forks. Worked like a dream. The local homeless guy helped me by sitting on the rear seat while I put i...

Re: Parking
I know this has nothing to do with the subject, but apparently somebody screwed with my bike and turned my idle wayyyyy up...to the point that it pushes me forward when i'm stopped at a light or in traffic. Can anybody tell me where the idle screw is? From my understanding there is no idle screw......

Tricks for Removing Front Wheel?
Anyone have any tricks to prop up the front end of the scooter to remove the front wheel? I dont have anything solid to put the forks on (i.e. cinder blocks). And my usual trick of strapping the handlebars to rafters or pipes is out of the question since my building manager saw me do it last and DID...

Re: PCX150 in Los Angeles
Sorry for the late reply. Been away for a while. The dealer I bought mine from was on Lincoln blvd in Santa Monica. They're slightly better than the one in Hollywood, but I still wouldn't recommend them except for their parts department. Every dealer in the area is going to rip you off on service. I...

Re: PCX150 in Los Angeles
I'm also in los angeles. As far as freeway experience I cant tell you because I've had a PCX 125 for over a year now. I also have over 10000 miles on it so it has definitely saved me gas $ over my toyota tacoma. The servicing is SO simple... if you get one just bring it over to my place and I'll tea...

I dont see how your parts could be any more than $5. The ONLY thing you need to replace is the oil... thats it.

Re: How to: Valve Adjustment for Honda PCX
Just did another valve check this morning. I waited about 4300 miles since my last one. Everything was exactly in spec and didn't need to be adjusted at all!. I think people will be fine doing the valve adjustment every 5000 miles. However, I would still be sure to do the first two on schedule (600 ...

Re: New Rider
well look at that! thanks gn2. Distance must be it... and on the PCX, it must require stalks to achieve that.. =]

Re: routine 2 riders
also have no problem 2 up on the PCX. I'm mostly by myself. If you're within the max weight together you'll be more than fine. We weigh about 350 combined with gear. Acceleration is a little slower, but if we can do it on the 125, you can deff do it with a 150. I have a top box and my girl appreciat...

Re: New Rider
No problem! Enjoy your PCX! And gn2 - from my recollection, every new bike i've seen in the US have had stalks.. but a minimum distance from the headlamp could be what the requirement actually is.. Just cant think of anything stock that has integrated signals from the get-go

Re: New Rider
TAZ- It is required by the USA Department Of Transportation (DOT) that the PXC (along with ALL motorcycles) have turn signals on stalks. The DOT also deemed the idle stop feature unsafe for use on USA roads, so it will not be an option on any stock machine sold in the USA
