Re: Tire recommendation?
I ended up going with Pirelli angel scooter tires as that is what the bike had on it when I got it. Rear tire took a nail, the cost of a repair kit was equal to the cost of a tire at the time being on sale. Can't say anything particularly bad, they did take at least 200+ miles to break in and soften...

Re: Brake pad recommendation.
I too use EBC pads on the front. EBC sintered specifically. They are really just replacements for the stock, I didn't notice any increased braking performance, however it is nice to have no brake dust accumulation...maybe something to consider if you are really particular on the looks of your bike, ...

Re: General Suspension Questions
How many miles on your scoot? When I bought my scoot with 7K miles, the suspension didn't bother me. But at 38K miles I started to feel every bump, many of the bigger ones I had to lift my but of the seat otherwise I felt my spine compress, lol. After I added the YSS shocks, front and rear. I didn'...

Re: Does it do steep grades?
I can agree with all the posts here, I've ridden around in the rural hills of Arkansas. Took a hill the other day that was practically straight up into the sky at about 30MPH you just have to open the throttle up.
I will say though I am 'only' around 135LBS.

Re: General Suspension Questions
Take the weight off your butt as you approach the bump. Credit to gn2, I honestly think this might be the best answer. Looking at all the options I see, alot of shocks are north of $200 before shipping and taxes, and it is hard to justify. I took a 67 mile ride yesterday and didn't get bucked as mu...

Re: General Suspension Questions
Take the weight off your butt as you approach the bump. Don't ride feet forwards, tuck them back a bit and take the weight off your butt as you approach a bump. Thank you gn2, I have utilized this method quite a bit, however I will try scooting my feet back even further to see if it helps. My main ...

General Suspension Questions
Hey everyone! I am starting to realize what the PCX is really designed for, and my focus is shifting to the suspension... (Just today, I was able to go 56 miles in speed limits 35-45, and I got 126MPG, amazing! It was very enjoyable as well.) In general, I find myself getting 'bucked' off the seat m...

Re: NCY Variator RPM Question
I have a 2017 with NCY variator and Driveface. Cruising at 55 I'm around 7500rpms... 65 around 8200-8500. Then creeps to 74-75 at redline before the bigger tires. If you are trying to cruise at higher speeds, upgrade your tires to a bigger size. MUUUCH more stable at those speeds and gives you more...

NCY Variator RPM Question
Hey all, I searched and searched, but I could not find an answer to my specific question: Would a NCY Variator allow me to cruise at say 55-60 mph at a lower RPM than stock? There are some nice back-country highways with limits at 55 MPH that I really want to run, but I think I would feel better if ...

Re: Excessive Wind Noise Help
Unfortunately the previous owner did not have it when I purchased it...I think it was around $50 so I may also look into getting a stock replacement just to try. Perhaps others can chime in as well who are still running stock wind screens? Always good to get a second opinion! :D Mine was a 2017 . ....

Re: Excessive Wind Noise Help
If you still have the stock wind screen you could try reinstalling that to see how things work out for you . . .. When I had my PCX I left it stock and was fine with it. It will get noisy the closer you get to 60 MPH but then again riding in the wind is part of the experience. I do find that riding...

Seeking Advice: Mechanic Frustration
Hey everyone! I first have to say how much I enjoy and value the wealth of experience here on these forums! Quick TL;DR: Any tips for mechanic frustration, and calling it a night before you ever even get frustrated?? I know this is kind of random, but recently I have had alot of trouble knowing when...

Excessive Wind Noise Help
Hello everyone! I have a 2018 PCX150...When I got it a few months back, the previous owner had installed a National Cycles wind screen, citing lots of wind on his chest. I have grown to be okay with it, it does provide tons of protection, but the WIND NOISE oh my!! It sounds like standing in a blizz...

Re: Is it reasonable to take a PCX on a cross country trip
Hey all, it's really interesting to see this topic I was about to ask a very similar question. Mostly I try to stick to 45Mph roads or less for little exploration trips, however around here 55MPH roads are the norm... I noticed when riding at 55 for less than 3 miles, that my seat got pretty warm qu...

Re: Brake Rotor Condition
Not quite 12,000 miles on the bike and your front pads need to be changed already?? I have two 2013 models, and the one with the most miles is only half-way through the pads at 13,000 miles. You don't have your location in your profile, so I can't comment on the conditions you ride in, but that muc...

Brake Rotor Condition
Hey! I have a 2018 PCX W/ 11,800 miles on it. I noticed the pads are getting low I think they could start metal on metal contact in the next few rides. I just wanted a second opinion on the brake rotor condition, before deciding if I want to do a pad slap or full tear down. The rotor looks okay, how...
