I went to a workshop. The mechanic inserted some pieces of foam into gaps wherever could be found between plastic panels.
I need to monitor it for 1 or 2 days to see if it works.

Re: Buzzing vibration sound heard when travelling at 30 to 40 mph
Might not be anything wrong as such, just something vibrating in sympathy with something else like the transmission operating. I need to make it disappear. Because of it, it makes me wonder if I am able to live with it long-term. I may have to sell the bike if I can't find a way to make the noise d...

Re: Coolant in engine?
Main causes of coolant in engine (in no particular order) are failure of waterpump mechanical seal, crack in cylinder casting, leaking cylinder head gasket. Have you had an oil change recently? Could be someone has put the wrong type of oil in. I've never seen red engine oil like that. Fork oil yes...

Buzzing vibration sound heard when travelling at 30 to 40 mph
This buzzing vibration sound comes from the right side at the rear of the bike. It is pretty soft but it is annoying because my attention is taken away partially by it as I ride. The vibration only happens when I roll on the throttle. Roll on throttle, there is the buzzing sound. Roll off throttle, ...

Re: Is this an oil leak?
What’s the oil level look like? Put a bit on your fingertip - if it tastes sweet it’s coolant. Have you done any work to the scoot recently ? Recently changed to a new stock clutch, that's all. I went to the workshop and was told that there was a problem with the "cam cover gasket", causi...

Is this an oil leak?
Hi all,
It appeared after starting the engine for a few minutes for the first time of the day after being left overnight.
There is also a burnt smell while the engine runs.

Re: Bike needs to rev higher after changing to aftermarket clutch
The higher clutch engagement is due to stiffer engagement springs. That is not the contra spring. Contra spring changes the rate of shifting. Go with softer engagement springs if you want lower engagement. Yeah you're right. Swapped them with lighter clutch springs and it engages more or less at th...

Re: Bike needs to rev higher after changing to aftermarket clutch
You might give it a bit more time to break in..........Had my clutch bell off doing CVT cleaning and took some rough sand paper to remove the glaze. Same result you are experiencing. After putting more miles on it........ has reverted back to a more normal engagement. Maybe it will improve for you ...

Bike needs to rev higher after changing to aftermarket clutch
Hi all, I just changed to aftermarket clutch, aftermarket contra spring and aftermarket clutch bell, all at the same time. Now I need to rev the bike to a higher engine rpm before the bike moves. What is the cause and how should I rectify it? Is it the springs in the clutch that I need to change? Ho...

Sound when left brake lever is pressed
Hi all,
I just changed the lever to a new one and there is this clicking sound.
It seems to be coming from where the cables are hidden under. At the later part of the video where I panned the phone camera to.
Anyone knows what is the cause and how am I to rectify it?
Thank you.

then it's too soft for my liking.Inoplanetyanin wrote: ↑Mon Apr 05, 2021 4:12 am What's the problem? The operation of shocks is checked by examining the components and refilling with specified amount of oil. The shock should create noticeable resistance when extended by hand. What you are observing may very well be normal.

Front forks seem to be pogo-ing
Hi all,
https://imgur.com/tMbl279
Here is a video of me pushing down on the front forks. Watch the lights on the right side.
I've already changed to heavier 20W fork oil but the problem still remains.
Could the springs be spoilt or something?
Thanks all.

Re: Is this too much engine oil?
Its overfilled but not by a huge amount. Its not ideal but won't cause any damage. If it bothers you use a small syringe and pipe to remove the excess. This is strange. I went to the mechanic and got the old oil all drained out. I personally tilted the bike left and right to ensure the old oil drai...
