Re: Can someone reccomend a decent outdoor cover please?
Stay away from covermax. They claim their covers are "outdoor" but they'd be wrong. Mine started shredding after 5 months. I just got a medium Dowco cover which doesn't fit so i'll be exchanging it for a large. The dowco is thicker and the box says it's urethane coated polyester. So we'll ...

Re: Introducing me and my125 esp2012/13 PCX problems ;)
My PCX150 also lost speed after first service. I thought it was because they put in the wrong oil but after changing oil with proper oil it hasn't made any difference. After hearing similar stories on here about speed loss after first service i'm now suspicious that something was actually done to th...

Re: pirelli diablos or michelin city grip
I replaced the stock rear tire a couple weeks ago with the pirelli diablo and haven't noticed any difference at all. However, i hardly ever ride in the wet so i'm no help there.

Re: How do I work out mpg?
It seems as though most PCX 150s are getting close to 100mpg. Ours has been between 100 MPG and 110 MPG, depending on the roads we take and the traffic. What is that based on? I just went to fuelly and found 14 PCX150 riders with ten or more fuel-ups and only two of the 14 were even close to 100mpg...

Re: Dyno graph for Pcx 125, 125esp and 150esp
I wonder why it shows the 150 only producing 10 PS which is virtually the same as HP. Doesn't the 150 get more like 13HP? Or is that the difference between rated HP and actual HP?

Re: New PCX150 purchase
Where ever you take it, make sure they use the correct oil. My local dealer used the wrong oil, didn't tell me, and my mpg suffered. HP4M 10w30 is the recommended oil.

Re: bad mpg with heavier riders?
Based on my experience that last bar is worth about 30-40 miles depending on riding style. 30 miles at 55mph or 40 miles at 30mph. It is my experience that speed effects mpg much more than weight.

i know you can't send PMs until the 15 post limit (which ought to be 1 or 2 posts) but i'm not sure if you can receive PMs before the 15 post limit.

Re: Rapidly mounting costs of owning a PCX!
It's scooter. How much you want it up the @rse is up to you agreed! Do yourself a huge favor and get the service manual. Paying for service every 2500 miles is a joke. About the center stand, i hardly ever use it but mine works just fine. I store my bike outside under a cover. Sounds like something...

Re: PCX's ECU
The PCX 150 has such a strong power curve from 0-35mph, it might be interesting if you could mellow the low end down just a bit to squeeze a few more MPG out it.

Re: 15-50 Oil
Honda recommends 10w30 with MOLY(specifically HP4M). Make sure you get oil with moly in it. My fuel mileage dropped from 93 to 82 because they didn't use the right oil for the last service.

Re: Interesting incident with the PCX this morning...
Thanks for sharing. I had something similar happen. Mine hesitated to start. On the second attempt it started but was running so slowly that the headlight didn't come on. I revved the throttle and the lights came on and the engine ran normal. I could never get it to do it again. Always wondered what...

Re: Gas to put in my PCX 150
Higher octane fuel doesn't give more power -- it simply prevents knocking if the engine is prone to it. That is true. It may just burn your valves because it burns hotter. That is false. Higher octane does not mean it burns hotter, it only means it requires more compression and/or a hotter spark to...
