Re: Pcx any good for long distance travelling 200+ miles
Navynoob, It’s great having options and having reliable train transport for bad weather weekends is a real plus! I lived several years in the U.K. so I know how rain and dense fog are definitely ongoing realities there. Things may have changed, but I was always impressed with the British rail system...

Re: Pcx any good for long distance travelling 200+ miles
Welcome Navynoob.. Your post didn’t mention where you are from, but references to ‘A’ roads may indicate you may be in the U.K. There are many members here on the forum who have traveled long distances on their PCX. Some have done rides MUCH longer than 200 miles. Mine is new this year and no 200+ m...

Re: 2021 PCX 160/125 owner’s review thread
Have to say I’m still impressed every time I fill-up that 2021 PCX engine with 12:1 compression and how it’s engineered to use 97 octane regular gas. It seems Honda has incorporated an oil jet spray on the lower portion of the piston skirt to reduce heat & hot spots. This seems to help mitigate ...

Re: PCX won't start
Maybe start by checking all connectors on relay, ECU and look for loose connections, pins, wires etc

Re: PCX won't start
op3l… as you hear a “click” when you press the start button, that sounds like the “starting/charging” relay is actuating but it’s contacts may be bad. Also the ECM/ECU controller is what receives the relay’s output and then sends battery voltage to the starter (hope it’s not that!) On many electrica...

Re: 2021 pcx oil drain bolt torque specs
Mrags89..I don’t use a torque wrench on my oil changes either…but if interested the service manual shows 18 ft.lb (24 Nm) on the drain bolt, and 15 ft.lb (20 Nm) on the oil screen cap.
How many miles so far? Hope you’re enjoying your new PCX as much as I am! Cheers

Re: PCX won't start
Hmmm….l know if the side stand switch itself is bad, you can check it by connecting its 2 wires together. If the scoot starts…then the switch is the problem…helped me out on another bike.

Op3l…Just a thought…have you checked to see if the ‘kill switch’ on the right handlebar is in “run” or “off”?

Re: honda pcx v2021 repairs manual
Hello retry.. I wish I had a direct answer for your service manual issue. Here in the U.S. we only get the 2021 4 valve PCX 160. I ordered a factory service manual from my dealer for mine. Honda U.S. uses a company called Helm to print/supply Honda service manuals but they don’t show any manuals ava...

Re: 2021 PCX 160/125 owner’s review thread
Riding home in the rain recently gave me a chance to see how the stock IRC tires perform on new 2021 U.S. PCX’s. Happy to say they handled and stuck really well with no noticeable tendency to skip or lose traction like some tires. I did not test them at higher speeds.. only on local roads. I’ve real...

lucky, forgot to mention that 2-3 years is the average life of a m/c or scooter battery. Yours is a 2019 model which means the battery may be near the end of its useful life.

Re: 2019 PCX Dash/Clock Issues
Hey lucky, A couple things that have helped me. Modern vehicles including scooters are computerized so “rebooting” can help solve many digital/display issues…simply remove the negative battery ground wire and re-install it. You can also check the tightness of the red positive screw at the same time....

Re: new zuma from yamaha
Well, gents and ladies: I had been shopping for an ADV150 this winter, but I put a deposit down on the first new PCX I saw advertised in my region, then waited patiently for a bunch of long weeks. When it arrived, I backed out, and a couple of days later, ordered the new Zuma instead. It arrived in...

Re: 2021 PCX 160/125 owner’s review thread
Any PCX owners or fans happen know the variator roller weight in the 2021 PCX? I’m Thinking of ordering Dr. Pulley sliders but am not sure what weight to order without knowing the OEM stock roller weight. I could always take stock rollers out and weigh them but that’s last option. Haven’t tried cont...

Re: 2021 PCX 160/125 owner’s review thread
Hola & Oy Mack62..thanks for your good review of your new PCX! and good to hear from some European owners. I really agree with you about the lights. Rode mine at night recently and the headlight is simply hands down the best..better even than the Kymco’s really bright LED headlight. Another + fo...

Re: 2021 PCX 160/125 owner’s review thread
Hey Congrats! ezrider on your new 2022 Zuma 125! I’ve looked at them off/on for a long time (the older style) and know many owners have given them good reviews. I also remember the 500 Titan..it was truly a great bike in its day too. Did it feel strange at first to have a brake lever where the clutc...

Re: 2021 PCX 160/125 owner’s review thread
Really not hearing much in the way of reviews/ride impressions from other new 2021 owners. I’ve just added the Honda accessory windscreen to my new scoot and it really takes the wind pressure off your chest at speed. As I didn’t see any offerings from Givi yet or other manuf. I bit the bullet and bo...

Re: what was your previous bike?
Good choice in rides there hondamatic! My first bike bought new was a red/white 1968 Honda 50 step-thru. Rode that thing hard and it just came back for more. MANY bikes later I just sold my Yamaha SR400 and bought a new Honda 2021 PCX…Great scooter! It may possibly be my last bike…but I you never kn...
