Re: PCX tyres on-off???
any street tire can do 'light off-road' if you use common sense and just be careful about it

Re: Honda NC700
How are you guys finding the seat on long journeys. It seems thin and hard but hopefully is more comfortable for trips. So, I just got back from my trip to the Schwarzwald, and let me tell you that my ass was sore after a day's riding! However, I'm inclined to say that I can't imagine my ass being ...

How are you guys finding the seat on long journeys. It seems thin and hard but hopefully is more comfortable for trips. Let me get back to you on that one. I have a 400+ mile trip planned for next tuesday, after which I will probably curse my ass, my bike and everything in the general area in priva...

Cool :-) Fender extender and tail tidy fitted today. Rear hugger should be here soon then just need a new can and some crash bungs. The fly screen is a good improvement on the stock one believe me. So what mods if qny you planning? I'm also looking at the fender extender, the spanish rear hugger an...

I think the stupidest mistake you can make is thinking you don't make mistakes.

Re: Honda NC700
I signed the dotted line on a NC700S with DCT today, going to be trading in my PCX. It served me well for about a year, but honestly it was not made to do 50 miles a day, every day.

Re: Parking
Pcx being my first street bike - what's the proper US parking edequate??? Like at the grocery store, take up an entire parking space, or park on a sidewalk trying to leave a clear path? Funny you should ask, I see a lot of US bikers parking in a car spot with their bikes, something that we'd really...

Re: Important Tip: Cleaning the Oil Filter on the PCX- 2011
The can usually states something to the likes of 'use only in a well-ventilated area'. In this case, I'm inclined to act exactly as stated on the can!

Re: Honda NC700
I did it. Traded in the PCX. Still getting used to it. Obviously this is much different, but the PCX is way more nimble. Navigating the cones for my bigger CC license was a world of difference...lol. The DCT is awesome and so is 5x the power. My PCX had one speed... Full throttle all the time just ...

Re: Important Tip: Cleaning the Oil Filter on the PCX- 2011
Brake cleaner is probably the easiest, cleans it right off and dries with no residue. Cheap too! Just don't breath in the fumes.

Re: 2011 Honda PCX oil question help
Any 5w-30, 10w-30 or 10w-40 will be fine really. For temperate weather, I'd recommend 5w-30. If you're somewhere hot: 10w-40. The thinner (5W-30) oil will net you a bit better fuel economy than the 10W-40, especially when it's cold! Don't worry about JASO MA or MB, for our PCX it's not relevant. JAS...

Re: What would you change on the PCX
Realistically? I'd change the gearing so that it doesn't hit the rev limiter, they can add a hard 60mph limiter for the markets that need it. I'd increase the size of the gas tank by any means possible. Also, the service intervals need to be reconsidered: Needing a valve adjustment every other month...

Re: How to: Oil Change for Honda PCX
The scooter does not have a wet clutch like motorcycles do, so you can use any motor oil. That is, you can use the same stuff that you'd use for a car. Honda recommends 10W30 or 10W40. AFAIK, it is never a problem to use a 5W30 or a 0W30 instead of a 10W30. I use Castrol 5W30 (Castrol Edge I think?)...

Re: Wikipedia
Well, a picture wouldn't hurt, you can take one yourself and upload it to Wikimedia.org, granting them the permission to use it on Wikipedia (very important).
Also, it wouldn't hurt to add the PCX to the Honda bikes timeline.
