Re: pcx125 ..600mile maintance??
I checked my valves at 1000 miles. Both where out of spec, but not by much. I checked again at 4000 and 7500 miles, both times they where exactly the spec I out them at at 1000. I plan on checking the valves every 10k from here on out.

Re: Fuel millage lower than normal, here's a tip!
I have another plug identical to the current one in use. I did t see any wear. Compared to the new plug Just the gap had widened. That is the strange part.

Fuel millage lower than normal, here's a tip!
I noticed my fuel millage was tracking down after about 7000 miles of ownership. I thought it was the belt wearing away and I'd have to suffer with low mpg numbers until replacement. I made sure everything on the PCX was correct, in spec, and functioning properly. Then, on a whim, I decided to pull ...

Re: Tyre comparison
I'm about .1 mm away from the wear bars on my rear tire. I have 9100 miles on it. I'm going to get at least 10,000 miles from the stock OEM tires. I will be getting the city grips for both front a rear replacements. Interesting how riding style, road conditions and braking preferences change dramati...

Re: Valve check every 5,000 miles??
I checked mine myself at 600. All valves needed adjusted. Checked again at 3,500. No adjustment needed. Checked again a month ago, 7,500 miles. No adjustment needed. I plan on checking at the end of each riding season, regardless of miles. I average about 7000 miles a year. If the valves hold spec i...

I just saw this video on motortrends website. This sounds more like an event I'd want to attend on any2 wheeled vehicle.

Not that I know of. I'm in Mokena by the way! I kept hearing rumors from friends saying that they saw my scooter in Orland. I've got a 2011 white PCX 125cc.

Re: Valve adjustment comparison photos
2011 Honda PCX 125cc engine. So no, not the eSP engine, I guess it is called the "original." My point I was making with the first 4 photos was the wear on the cam lobe, and roller bearing. I've never had a problem with the scooter, Just change oil and the thing runs great! Just pointing ou...

Valve adjustment comparison photos
I remembered I took photos of my first valve inspection @ 3500 miles. So I took photos again during my 7500 mile valve inspection. For the record: valves intake and exhaust where slightly tight at 3500 miles. I adjusted them to exactly within spec. Valves at 7500 miles had not moved. No adjustment n...

Re: How is the scooter "culture" in your area?
In the suburbs of Chicago scooters are gaining popularity, in the city, they are everywhere, especially in the college residence areas. Parking is free for all motorycles and scooters on city streets in residential areas. (does not apply to meters in front of businesses). We also have a weird loopho...

Re: Honda Nighthawk 250 (CB250)
I too got my M classification with the MSF on a nighthawk. It looked beat up, dropped a lot, no mirrors but every time I thumbed the throttle, choked when temps warrented, the bike started up, was pretty damn smooth, and my front DRUM brake worked so well, I lost points for locking the tires in the ...

Re: Feeling sorry for the PCX 125?
Your OP hit the correct points. For me, my 125cc PCX is perfect for my commutes, in the suburbs, most roads are 45mph. And as more and more people flee the city, the speeds have been lowered. The main road through town is now 40!!! WTF! I did notice I was beginng to push my PCX to the limit as I was...

Some resistance to hand turning the rear wheel is normal. Hard to describe.
I think ony the USA version has the parking brake.

Re: PCX Valve Adjustment
7250 miles, and my third valve check. They are exactly where I placed them at my second valve check at 3500 miles. Both valves were tight on the 600 and 3500 mile check. Now they haven't moved in 4000 miles. My next vavle check will be 15000 miles, when I replace the belt. Question for everyone. Doe...

Re: Bike Maintenance
I had never done a valve adjustment on an engine before. I read and followed the procedure listed here, wrote up a tool list, and purchased what I didn't have. Followed step by step, took me several hours, was extra carefully, laid each part out with its bolts and screws in correct order. Not a sing...

Not in the USA. I can't find anything! Except OEM replacement. And only through the dealer special order.

Headlamps, what is the bulb designation. All I can find is that it is a 25/25 watt bulb. I'm wanting to see what upgrades I can do but need to now what type of bulb it is.
