Re: Pcx Yuminashi Chainsaw 164!
Must use copper gasket spray for the head gasket. That will stop and seal the head properly. If you're going in there constantly adjusting the gaskets because of the leaks, you got nothing to loose then to separate the gaskets and use single layer gasket, with copper spray on on sides of the gasket...

2 valve to 4 valve conversion
Has anyone come across this yet? 2v to 4v conversion kits from Hispeed Racing out of Thailand. There is head/valves/cam only or head/valves/cam/cylinder/piston/rings etc. supposedly for most years of PCX/ADV/Vario/Click and for 125 & 150cc engines. Note 2 different choices for valve sizes. I don...

Re: Quantum D-Type flyballs
Running again. It is Frankenstein's monster. Very tempted to get a set of these in 11 or 12gr as the 15 gr Dr Pulley's are too heavy now.

Re: Yuminashi bore up issue
Have completed honing the scratches out of the cylinder. Using a caliper (no bore gauge) cylinder size has increased by about .02-.03 diameter. Thinking I should be good to go with a new Yuminashi 60mm high compression piston & rings set. Since I would need to rebuild again I am getting a wild h...

Re: Yuminashi bore up issue
An additional update. I removed and inspected the rings from the damaged piston and discovered that they are not the rings that came with the piston (Yuminashi rings are marked, these were not). I suspect that the mechanic replaced the rings when he worked on the bike to correct a coolant loss issue...

Re: Front suspension upgrade
FYI I just received a YSS front fork kit and it came with 15W fork oil instead of 20W. Ordered from BIKERZBITS.com. I just installed those on mine along with the cartridges and rear "Smooth" shocks. Easy upgrade, but measuring the fork oil was a bit of a task (had to rely on the fluid hei...

Yuminashi 2 & 3mm offset crank pins
Hello all! Came across these on the Yuminashi site. These along with a spacer and other pertinent parts can increase the cc of your motors. Adding the 3mm to the Yuminashi 164cc kit will bring you to 180cc! Has anyone looked into these? I am curious on any issues anyone can see. Linky: https://yumin...

Re: Yuminashi bore up issue
Scooter is running on original stock 125 cylinder & piston with 150 head, Yuminashi 8.6 cam & upgraded lifters and springs and 140cc injector. I will attempt to hone out the scratch in the cylinder as it is the Yuminashi flat deck. Am still evaluating my next step though. (1) I can leave as ...

Re: Yuminashi bore up issue
Mechanic that tore down and rebuilt was not very forthcoming on the cause. I got the cylinder and the damaged piston but the damaged valves were not to be found. I see no indication on the piston that there was a valve strike so I am also confused on that issue. I DO suspect that there was an issue ...

Yuminashi bore up issue
Hi all! Just had my Yuminashi kit fail for some reason. I suspect a ring stack failure but overall damage are bent valves, damaged piston, stuck ring stack and scratched cylinder. Had 700km on an oil change. Oil is dark. My setup started life as a 125 and I still have the cylinder and piston and rin...

Well life just threw me a curve. May be a while before I try these. Just had a failure of my Yuminashi bore up kit.

Re: dr pulley rollers / sliders
For the '21 PCX/157cc engine, the stock rollers are 20mm x 15mm 19 gram rollers. Recently I installed the 20mm x 15mm 13gram Dr. Pulley sliders into the stock variator and I saw a 65mph indicated top speed. Has anyone installed the 21 x 15mm 13gram Dr. Pulley sliders? Did you hit the rev limiter? S...

Re: Pcx 160 pulley set on Click Vario 160
Hello, everyone! I have a question regarding the front pulley set for the PCX 160. It measures 127mm in diameter. Can it be compatible with the Click Vario 160? The Click Vario pulley set has a diameter of 123mm. Will using the larger PCX pulley result in a higher top speed? I'm curious about the r...

Re: Pcx Yuminashi Chainsaw 164!
Installed Yuminashi full set of 164cc. I put a long gear 15/45. Started driving. In a few days I drove 180 km. Then the scooter started overheating. The red light came on. I pumped the water system many times, the result is deplorable. The steam is collected, the pressure in the radiator, the liqui...
