Re: GPS mounts
I love a project. I've been thinking that a 12v cigarette lighter socket is the most convenient and flexible. There's a step by step on here somewhere. I bought one of these to mount my iphone as I use that as my sat nav; http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Buffalo-Pro-Range-Sat-Nav-iPhone-Android-Smart-Phone...

Re: She's arrived
I'm sure the other half will name her before long. She likes to call the Lambretta 'Betty'.

What a rip off? Will you be taking your custom elsewhere when you renew?

Re: She's arrived
Ha, I wish. Actually I'm hoping she will get her licence this year so we can dump the kids and sneak off on the PCX and the Lambretta. Nice ride up to the Lakes, quiet meal, b&q then home the next day. Can't wait.

She's arrived
Well despite the forecast, I went to collect my PCX this morning. Left home to bright sunshine if slightly cold. Arrived at the dealers in torrential rain and gusting winds. Ah well. Rode the PCX home which is 70% my commute route and first thoughts are . . . its perfect for me. Took some time to ge...

Yes, definitely a result. That's all I wanted him to do in the first place. At least any buyer is doing so fully informed.

Re: UK buyers beware
My worry is that the scooter he is selling is stolen, but the reg on it is from the cat c write off. The only way to be sure would be to check the engine and chassis numbers.

Re: UK buyers beware
I have to say, my thoughts were that it might be a stolen scooter on the cat c plates.
The reg is FE60PBF, if I can work out how, I'll link to the report.
As I said, I don't have a problem with him selling a cat c if he's honest. But he just isn't.

Re: Centre Stand
Well, I'm always open to new ideas (just ask Mrs Anfield800), so it looks like the centre stand has a reprieve.
The PCX is purely my commute workhorse so I can't see me getting my knee down that often.
Thanks for the input.

UK buyers beware
Firstly, if this breaches any posting rule, remove it and let me know. It shouldn't, according to the posts I've just read. Before ordering a new PCX I offered to buy one via eBay. The day before I collected it a HPI check revealed it was an insurance write off. I have no problem with cat c & d ...

Thanks for the reply.
I'll keep it, I'm sure, but I've got a good stand so won't need it to work on the scoot.
2lbs isn't a lot but it all counts.

Centre Stand
Sorry if I'm being lazy, I'm sure I've read a post about removing the centre stand but I can't find it, As a biker, the first thing I do with any new bike is remove the centre stand. They typically weigh ridiculous amounts and I never use them. Some catch the road when leaning the bike right over. A...

Re: Other bikes
You don't like a challenge??
I'm fairly confident I'll arrive on time, whether I get there under my own steam remains to be seen. Once we'd decided we were going, the first thing I sorted was breakdown cover. Just in case, obviously.

Re: Other bikes
Thanks.
The rims are currently being painted white, no idea why the previous owner thought red was a good look.
I also bought an original GP disk brake which is being painted to match.
Next it's a Mugello 186 kit with the usual bits, then Euro Lambretta in the south of France in June.
