Re: Just joined. Need info about mounting a trunk to my PCX
was sold on the Givi trunks but wasn't sure about the mounts. Would love some pics... -------------- All you need is here: a how-to by PCX Commuter. The Givi mount is not sturdy -- the brackets are small and the base is plastic. Go for the OEM trunk base. On top of that, install a Givi trunk (or to...

I think a thumbnail with 800 x 600 dimensions would be just fine, provided that you can still post big pics and click on them to make them full size.

Re: Just joined. Need info about mounting a trunk to my PCX
Want to find the best option for mounting a trunk... ---------------- Honda's OEM trunk base is the best option in your case. You can mount Honda's own box on top of it, or any Givi with an adapter plate. Check this thread out: http://www.hondapcx.org/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=1221 Image courtesy of ...

In Thailand, three-up is the norm. Re: How is the scooter "culture" in your area?
Finland is full of idiots and rode rage is rampant. Anything resembling a motor scooter gets harassed and intimidated by cagers. That's why everybody gets a big bike just to be safe. Even the bikers have no respect for scooters. If one tries to split the lane with them, they get nervous and try to s...

It could also be a misspelling (Volkswagen Touran).

Re: Feeling sorry for the PCX 125?
Current model is the same as it ever was -- carburetted, two-stroke. The engine is almost 40 years old. No improvements at all (apart from a catalyzer). At full throttle any PX consumes way more fuel than the PCX. With the PX, full throttle is the only way if you want to see it move. Even the new LX...

It's not in the same league by a long shot. I have a PX 200. It's very thirsty. Six litres per 100 km is not unheard of. The 125 is not much better at economy.

Re: Feeling sorry for the PCX 125?
My favourite Harley is the Sportster. The 883 is actually one of the cheapest big bikes in Finland. I know it's considered 'entry level' and a woman's bike. I would love to have one, though.

Re: Idle stop worries

Re: Idle stop worries
It just occurred to me that maybe there's a need for instructions how to prepare a new motorcycle battery. Just make sure you have it properly sealed so the battery won't spill when placed on its side inside the vehicle. After adding water, seal it and wait an hour. Then charge it full and complete ...

Re: Feeling sorry for the PCX 125?
The PCX 125 was first introduced in 2009 in Thailand. It had been available for three consecutive years there until the 150 hit the market. The United States is only a sideshow as it is. You're lucky to get what you get -- when you get. Still no SH300 on your shores.

One size fits them all. Just make sure the mounting plate is the right type (Monolock vs. Monokey).
