Re: PCX 150 on the interstate
Huh. I've had no buffeting; just sayin' (I do have a windshield, but its still in the carton waiting for cold weather :D ). I've been in KC traffic. Local Interstates 'round here are like yours - constant up-down shifting on the VT 750 made me nuts. Here, when the slab is less congested, there is st...

Re: Congenital Noassatall - Need for seating.
@Indyglow - just cruised through your "custom" seat thread: that's beautiful! I'll just have to seek out a plastic fabricator and upholsterer round here some place. Thanks

yesss...Rollie-style...an option, but being of advanced years, I can't sustain it more than a few miles anymore...
Thanks, Indy, good to have before I begin blindly ripping coverings off.

Re: Congenital Noassatall - Need for seating.
Excellent. Love the bike for what it is. A pedal bike with a great engine Ah, ten miles on a bicycle, and I'm standing on the pedals. It may simply be the underlying slope of the plastic pan itself that bothers. Mel, thanks; is that yours in the foreground there? Slope angle does look less acute - ...

Congenital Noassatall - Need for seating.
After a year+ of ownership, finally got around to my first 131-mile sustained "high" speed Interstate and highway-ish ride yesterday: Falls Church-out I-66-to Gainesville, down 29 to Warrenton, cross state on 17 to Fredericksburg and up I-95 back to FC. Rev limiter consistently kicked-in a...

Re: Wave retraction
Oh, hatin's not universal by any means - I regularly get waved by Harlists (Harlots?) when exercising my wife's Vino Classic, and Harley guys frequently ask about the top end and mileage (and are always astounded) of the PCX. Think it may be just a sports bike thang...scooterists, oddly enough, almo...

Wave retraction
Happened again. The PCX, viewed frontwise, has a silhouette with a sort of generic sports bike, crotch-rockety look, n'cest pas? So, whilst whipping along a busy highway at 55ish, we must have appeared at the crown of a hill quite suddenly to a true rocketeer going the other way, who at once extende...

Re: ? for PCX150 owners
You still struggle with English, imagine what your German would be like? :D I do struggle. My brother-in-law, a dyed-in-the-wool Geordie, often despairs over my graceless mangling of our 'common' tongue. English spoken by Brits of all stripes is much more vigorous in vocabulary; our preference for ...

Re: How long you been riding?
At what age did you buy your first bike? 17; Honda C110 Sport Cub
How many years have you actively ridden? Still at it.
How old are you now? Hmm. 66.

Re: Ground anchor problems? (tarmac/concrete)
We use a length of steel pipe buried in 20 pounds of concrete. Each end has a threaded and welded-on tee fitting. One end is barely exposed above ground level, allowing us to thread through a hardened security chain to tie the bike down. The chain cannot be parted except by power equipment. http://i...

You will find that your country owes its very existence to the British colonial system, and its independence to the French.

With respect to the original question...
the answer is "yes". Simply getting out to rural areas around here almost requires travelling high-ish speed county and state highways just to get beyond the frenetic commuter zones. For a new scooter, that meant that it had to be able to handle 55-60 mph for long stretches without quailin...

Re: Yessssssss!
Picked it up right on time and went out riding, but eventually night fell; supper was ready, so reluctantly rode back to the barn. First impressions: My word! Takes off pretty smartly, don't it? Well-out in front of the pack. My old Zuma 125 didn't do as well. Quarter throttle or so got us up to spe...
