Re: Finally seen a PCX on the road!
We are out riding a lot. I have seen a grand total of ONE PCX (besides ours) in the past year. I read that they are selling well - really thought I'd be seeing more of 'em. We get questions about ours from people in parking lots and at stop lights almost every outing.

Re: High Tech Helmets Heads Up Display, Voice Control, GPS
I have a cheap helmet with the drop down visor. I love it. Mainly ride with face shield up and visor down. We have scooters. It's about as much use as tits on a hen. He lives in the land of rain - what else would you expect to hear? 8) We also have scooters and enjoy being where the weather suits o...

Re: Digital Fuel Gage
Every fuel gauge on every conveyance I've owned seems to hang in there more when full than when nearly empty. Knowing that your PCX should get around 100 mpg (+/-), you will want to start looking for a gas station at around 100 miles on the trip odometer. Most motorcycles I've owned did not have a f...

No mention of building the PCX anywhere but Thailand. The SH150 and SH300 are listed as built in Italy. Any other details of an Italian build for the PCX?

Congrats on the new scoot and kudos to your good taste for the color. After 4 days of reading posts, it's less of an impulse buy and more of an indoctrination.
Have fun!

I'll be interested in what you come up with, Mel. I use a bungee net when I need to strap something on the seat.

We have two ride-on type front wheel chocks that are similar to the Condor... http://www.harborfreight.com/motorcycle-stand-wheel-chock-97841.html Your Canyon Dancer handlebar strap will work fine with that. For the rear of the bike, you just need to keep it from moving around. I run a single strap ...

Re: Bye bye PCX
Tastes, situations, and riding styles change. Sometimes you just like that "new bike smell." ;) Most of the bikes I've owned over the years have been big, heavy mileage makers. The PCX is a complete departure, and I enjoy the change. Have fun with the Buell - and wave at the scooter riders...

Re: Quiet-Exhaust Recommendations Anyone?
I chuckle at how quiet this bike is. I can't imagine any aftermarket pipe (usually installed for a performance gain) could be quieter. Most of my riding on the PCX is at 45 mph or less. Very little wind noise in the helmet at those speeds. I put some ear plugs in the other day, knowing I was going t...

Re: Day 1 in my ownership experience
Congrats on the new scoot. Sounds like it will be just right for your intended uses. We are in southern Texas - had near 80º temps today, with a cold front coming in that will drop our temps by about 40º... with a cold north wind and rain. I think we'll be taking a few days off the scoots. This cold...

Weight (lighter is better for moving around at parking)
MPG (more is better)
Classic color options (red or black would be better)
Friendly factor (doesn't look intimidating)
And, the most important one: Which one my wife likes best.

Re: Keeping visor clean
I haven't tried this on a visor, so I can't vouch for the effectiveness, but Rain-X makes a formula for exterior use, and another for inside windows. We use both of these on our boat (enclosed helm) and it is effective (glass windows). I try to avoid riding in the rain. Did it for 4+ decades, decide...

Re: New pcx 150 in Texas
Welcome aboard, Sue. You made a good buy! Nice choice in scooter AND color! We are in the southern tip of the state - ugly weather the next few days here in the Tropical Tip, but it is supposed to be better before Thanksgiving. Depending on where you are in Texas, dodge the northers and enjoy the re...

Re: What is the range on the PCX?
A pair of PCX 150s for us. My wife weighs about 50 pounds less than I do, her mileage is always better. Neither of us are babying the bikes to get the best mpg... I usually see around 100 mpg +/-, she gets around 106. I plan to refuel around 115 to 120 miles on the trip odometer, or when I'm down to...

OR, you could just ride it for a while and see how the stock scoot suits you. The only change we've made to ours are Givi smoked windshields. I'm fine with the stock tires. The rear shocks are OK; not great. I actually like the seat.

Re: Move over Honda! I think i just found my next ride!
That does have me slightly concerned. Maybe it will make honda release a 2015 PCX 200 early like in July or August 2014. If so that might explain why the 2014 pcx is identical to the 2013. Take a look back a few years, at the Honda Helix. That scooter was sold in the US from 1986 to 2001, then agai...
