Re: Impressions from the first ride on the PCX.
What's the reason you feel scared on a 50 cc scooter? i feel much safer being able to move with the flow of traffic rather than being viewed as a slow moving obstacle that other drivers need to get around sometimes aggressively. it also sucks to not have decent acceleration to pull out into traffic...

Re: Impressions from the first ride on the PCX.
nice review. for me it is about the smallest motorcycle i would ride and i dont feel it is heavy at all. 50cc scoots scare me to death with their lack of power to pull into traffic, etc. it is a streetbike. if you want/need to ride gravel and sand, you should be looking at something different, IMO. ...

Re: Handlebar muffs potential dangerous?
If you get proper ones by Toucano Urbano there won't be any problems i have those and have no problem with room for the levers. i also have heated grips and am must using uninsulated leather gloves so fra. you could hack the end of the levers off or get some shorter levers if you are having a probl...

not sure how it is in the UK but in certain areas of the US you can get 100% gasoline, or a mixture of ethanol and gasoline at the cheaper places.

welcome to the better forum of the two. this is a non profit website and a lot of the longer time PCX owners have settled over here due to the much better management of this site!SLO125 wrote:I tried signing up there but my request to become a member is still pending after a week... Re: Short people got no reason to live...
When at home and its parked in the cave under the house I slide down a chute onto it the same way as Virgil Tracy gets into Thunderbird 2. If I'm away from home I use a Joe 90 jetpack to lift me up over it then gently descend onto the seat. thats funny. i also have a midget garage for parking my bi...

you probably just need to upload it to a photo hosting site like photobucket.com first. then paste the IMG code into the message box.scisor34 wrote:Maddiedog, I've tried posting a pic, but haven't been able to, could you help me out? thanks.

there was always a lot of spam on that site that would sit there for days. i wonder how many sites they are 'managing' to try to peddle their wares? it was always obvious that they were in it for the business. it is good that we have this site as an alternative!

i absolutely recommend staying away from internet shop 'SAME SAME'. they sent me my ermax +25 and forgot to include the trim kit. i emailed them and heard nothing back. i emailed ermax and they said that same same had picked up the trim kit and would be sending it soon. 2 weeks later no trim kit, so...

Re: Mom allows "scooter"
the japanese manufacturers are still making plenty of mid-sized scoots (250-400cc). 250cc scoots are by far the most popular in japan other than the 125cc class. it just seems that they arent being sold in the US. that would come down to a a decision by honda USA in all likelihood. the decision woul...

Re: Mom allows "scooter"
assuming you are in the US?
if i could only have one bike, i would get a 250cc. however, it depends on how YOU will use it of course. if you are just gonna ride it locally a 150 would be fine as long as you dont need to go on the expressway.

Re: Round the World on a PCX
IMO, if the top speed of the PCX isn't fast enough, you're either riding it on the wrong roads or you simply bought too small of a scooter for your needs. I have yet to ride my PCX wide open to try and keep up with traffic or to just stay out of everyones way... in fact, I am usually passing everyo...

really liking these after my first commute. they are very easy to install. i didnt have any problem with the levers or the wind blowing the muffs into the levers at speeds up to 90 KPH. http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y254/kansai-riders/D640EF8F-CB6D-40FC-8F82-257842CE965B-682-0000007FF2100F87.jpg

Re: Termoscud or trousers?
i wear long underwear, whatever normal pants i want, and Aerostich Darien goretex overpants. works for me.
i was considering trying a Termoscud but was concerned that the rain might run down my jacket inside the termoscud and get me wet. comments from Termoscud users please?
