Re: The Extended Warranty Question
sound too good to be true that you get an extended warranty but can get the money back if you dont make a claim. read the fine print very carefully!

Re: Windscreen - Ermax vs. Givi?
My Ermax from SameSame was ordered online on the Sunday and arrived the Friday to Australia which is unheard of for European orders. Usually they take 3-4 weeks. By the way Ive seen some pics of the Ermax with the black surrounding rubber trim and some without, so make sure you ask for the trim if ...

Re: Windscreen - Ermax vs. Givi?
I went ahead and pulled the trigger on the Ermax + 25. It cost $163.00 with shipping included. :o Shipping from France. Hope I get it in a couple weeks. Any thoughts on shipping time to the states? good luck to you if you ordered from 'Same Same', seriously. some are lucky and have a smooth transac...

Re: Reserve 1 Gallon Gas Can?
use the helmet loop cable to hang your helmet on the side from under the seat. i do that in the summer anyway as my helmet is wet with sweat by the time i get to work to put it inside the topbox.

Re: Windscreen - Ermax vs. Givi?
it depends on how tall you are. i have had both the GIVI D322ST and the Ermax +25. a am 5ft 8in tall. they are both very nice windscreens. after having the givi for awhile i wished that i had gotten something just a bit taller. then i my bike fell over and the windscreen shattered when it hit my car...

Re: pirelli diablos or michelin city grip
I have a Michelin City Grip rear in the correct 100/90 size. Excellent tyre. Highly recommended. No effect whatsoever on speed or acceleration, anyone who says so is talking utter shite. thanks gn2! any other opinions? on a side note, here is what happened at the tire shop today: At Japan Tire Cent...

pirelli diablos or michelin city grip
in doing a google search and site search, i am not finding a good review of the pirelli diablo. in reviews of the city grips riders are reporting noticeable negative performance in acceleration and top speed. what is your experience with that if you have the city grip tires? (gn2, feel free to give ...

Re: moped/scooter/motorbike ?
to me it is a type of motorcycle known as a scooter because it is a semi step through and has an automatic transmission. it is a very cool, stylish and practical scooter to boot!

i suppose you should start with the ones that you like the looks of. then read how they work with riders of similar height. i am 5ft 8 and my ermax +25 is great. just dont buy one from internet shop "Same Same"!

Re: School boy error after only 250 miles!
Hi all, since reading this and never had an issue I actually got the same this morning but probably figured out why. I parked my bike up at work, idle stop kicked in, i normally then turn the key off but i just got off to give it a re-tweak at the parking, touched the throttle and the bike came ali...

Re: derestricting
the PCX is what it is. it isnt designed to cruise near redline as that would be in conflict with hondas tradition of longevity. this is why its restricted below the engines full potential, IMO.

Re: School boy error after only 250 miles!
like i said in the other thread, it seems like a stupid thing to do and we should know better. however, it sounds like something i would do. there needs to be a lot more warning about how to avoid this. just flip the switch to 'idling' when the engine is in engine stop mode and it wont start from th...

Re: Idle Stop Accident
I didn't realise that the US model PCX had seat belts or central locking. Must be quite some machine. First mod I did to mine was remove the beeping sensor and indicator that went off every time I forgot to put my seatbelt on. Can you believe they're talking about forcing us to retrofit airbags too...

Re: Idle Stop Accident
not sure what that switch under the seat does. my bike will start with a twist of the throttle from idle stop whether or not i am sitting on the seat. you should be sure to switch to idling mode when pushing the bike if you are too lazy to turn the key to off.

Re: Idle Stop Accident
i too thought the seat switch should keep it from going without weight on the seat. i will try it with my bike tomorrow. his bike is bone stock and he is not the type to have modded anything. the engine was off but in idle stop, so when he was pushing it probably to back it out he hit inadvertently...

Idle Stop Accident
went to the neighborhood izakaya (bar/restaurant) and the owner told me he had had an accident on his PCX. he was at the local chiropractor and was trying to push his bike and hit the throttle which engaged the engine as it was off in idle stop mode. the bike lunged forward and broke out a window pa...
