Re: Centerstand removed...Weighs 2.75lbs
Sure, this is my first ride so it's all new to me... but out in the hills of NJ on a windy day, the 150 shows its lightweight-ness.

Re: Centerstand removed...Weighs 2.75lbs
Dash, how does the 150 fell at those speeds being so much lighter? One of my concerns as a 1 y/o rider is *because* of how light the bike is. On windy days, or on streets with more than one lane, wind or passing cars makes me feel a bit unstable. I'd actually hope for a heavier ride than a lighter o...

Re: Centerstand removed...Weighs 2.75lbs
There was another brand that was 105CCA for $74.00 on amazon, this one was 150CCA for $79. I've run LiIon batteries in several bikes before. Always a nice weight savings from them and improved cranking power. =) Thanks for the link! I'm not concerned so much about weight, but I can spare another po...

Re: Windscreen
I put a short Givi windscreen on my PCX and hated it. I'm 5'7" and the wind hit my helmet like a tornado. The sound was deafening. I upgraded to a Givi tall screen, and love it. You get used to seeing through it quickly (if you're short like me), and there's no wind buffeting whatsoever... a mu...

Re: How-To: Completely Dismantle A PCX
Great tutorial, and I hope I never have to use it! :) Although I'm not auto-mechanically inclined, I've worked on my fair share of computers, and would add a tip - tape the screws to the panels they hold in place once you remove them. That way, when you put the panels back on, you know exactly which...

Re: What gear do you use? (clothing)
I have a hi-viz yellow TourMaster 3-season jacket, a Joe Rocket jacket with mesh sleeves for warm weather (both with armor); Scorpion EXO-500 full face helmet and an EXO-250 3/4 helmet; boots are Bates Men's GX-8 GTX Side Zip Military Boot - probably not the best for riding as they're not plated or ...

Re: How To: Replace A Headlight Bulb
Bumping... I bought two replacement bulbs that are supposed to be a little brighter than the stock. FOR THE LIFE OF ME, I could not get the existing bulbs out. I could see why they need to turn to be removed, but they just would not budge at all. Hard enough reaching underneath the wheel well to acc...

Re: Givi 323 tall windscreen
Looking good! I'm probably going to go back to the stock shield soon, as temps escalate and I want some cooling wind on me. I do like that in 10-15 minutes, I can have it on or off depending on the day's weather. But yes, it's definitely a nicer ride at high speeds with it on.

First name and college grad year. Never really named the 150, although since I paid for it by selling off some Apple stock, I joked with my wife that it would be called iScoot McSteve.

Oh yeah, I know exactly what Mel's talking about. It appears to rest open at 91º, but give it a little breeze past 90º and down it comes.

Re: New Bike. 2015
I like the new dash implementation, but for me the biggest want is the larger tank. I know I can get another 20-30 miles on the reserve, and I carry an MSR bottle worth the same, but why should I need to? Where'd they find the extra tank space that wasn't on the 2013 model? I'll probably just upgrad...

Re: So, I dropped my bike. A cautionary tale.
The panels are surprisingly inexpensive... or at least much less expensive than I would have guessed. Probably wouldn't take much to do some self-repair.

Question from someone who knows nothing about engine size, other than bigger is more powerful... how fast could a 175cc or 190cc engine go?

Nice! I have a Givi 33-liter box (not that I have any concept of that volume, being American and all... ), because I liked its look better. But, I do like the integrated backrest on the Honda. Well done!
