Sorry for bumping an old thread. If you are still listening. What tires are you using?

At least your numbers agree with mine.

Sorry OT. What is the difference between the silver and black ramps? I'm thinking more engineering rather than the results. What stops them rattling around? What are they made of?

So it is a 125 head?

So its the cam shaft that does most if it?

Re: Best drive face option?

the top speed that it hits on the center stand is the top speed the bike will actually go. this is because the speed sensor is directly in the rear trans of the bike. now it all depends on How Heavy You Are , what kind of resistance is holding you back. bigger tires, wind, etc... You're damn skippy...

Re: Honda Pcx 150 yuminashi upgraded head for 150 engines

Are the speeds quoted real (gps) or indicated. Why is the video blurred? Most modern cameras would do that clearly? I don't doubt that this (125?) head on a 150 with better cam gives better performance but I do love the poetic license and.... Just for reference a stock 125 with a performance variato...

Re: Exhaust pipe options

Well the first one would look out of place on an ocean liner! :o The second one might look OK :| The third one is a cheap chrome plated shiny job. I think you need to modify your search to units for the 150 as that will ensure it fits properly. The most popular here is one called OVER it is l...

The port size in the head it what it is. Bigger pipe doesn't do much except visually.

Re: Pcx Yuminashi Chainsaw 164!

I've been toying with Yuminashi Inertia power booster.. How much does the things weigh? I must admit got a smile out of this. One of the complaints against J Costa is that they are heavier than a regular diecast unit. This just goes to show that they knew something when first developing their unit ...

Honda does not sell MB rated oil in all markets so maybe in your country Yamaha has this?

Not PCX and not me but does show quite clearly what it is like to ride downtown Bangkok out to other parts of the metropolis.

Re: CVT Case Mod

Yamaha CVT scooters here have quite an elaborate CVT ventilation system most include some form of rubber "snorkel", some forward facing. here's a SX 125 https://docs.google.com/file/d/0BwmYWlzMWkPhcm9CTG1ZbmlUcnFNUG9KX2t1S2VBdw/image?pagenumber=16&w=800 hers's another a Fino 115 https:...

Re: leo vince exhaust

A "proper' after market exhaust will give about 1-1.5hp extra but the variator has to be changed or "adjusted" to allow the engine to develop the extra.

But yes here in Thailand there are exhausts on PCX's that would be too big for a 1000cc bike.

About 4 mph but you may have to re tune the variator as likely the power is further up the rev range.

We have cams here in Thailand but I don't have any figures other than valve overlap.

Re: variators so whats the best?

So which variator is the best and why. My observations. After my seven year interest in variators and after researching English and foreign language scooter forums, it is not always scooter specific. It is less related to outright performance and seems to be based more on the roads and the type of r...

Tomtic, What bike/year do you have? How exactly didn't it fit? How long did he fail to respond? Maybe he is on holiday? So if I understand this correctly instead of returning the lever, you got a refund from Ebay so now the seller is out the refund and you still have the item. Every story has two si...
