Sorry to hear that it permanent, but glad you're still able to ride.
I'm battling degenerative arthritis in my knees and ankles, so I know how that feels. I just want to try to ride as much as I can until I'm no longer able to.

Re: Honda NC700
First, I was offering a comparison of features. Second it wasn't a flame on the PCX. Sorry your narrow mind took it that way. I still own it and ride it. I was trying to compare how different they felt. I didn't expect the PCX to feel so small after riding something bigger. I never owned or rode any...

Re: Bought a new bike on Saturday
Sorry to hear about that elbow TC3. Is the damage permanent or is there still healing to happen? I hope it improves. Comfort is definitely a major deciding factor. I read an interesting letter in a cycle magazine here about a combat Veteran who severely injured their back, as a result of combat in A...

Re: Honda NC700
I'm not trying to slam the Honda's here and you can delete this post, just like two prior ones, if it offends anyone. Funny the old PCX forum no longer censors or deletes members, but now this one does. Isn't that why everyone left the other one? I've had two replies deleted in this thread alone, so...

See you've got colors! Look's very nice. Too bad all we have here is boring silver.

But then a heavy throttle will kill anyone's gas mileage.

Re: Honda NC700
We don't have British imperial gallons here so our mileage will be noticeably lower per gallon, just because of that. All those numbers don't mean anything for a U.S. bike. Unless you nurse the throttle, it's next to impossible to even match the EPA numbers here. That's just a fact. There are no NC7...

Re: Honda NC700
The official EPA rating for the U.S. 6-speed manual version is 65 mpg. If this pans out similar to the PCX, the "real world" real fuel economy will be lower. I've never gotten anything better than 93 mpg on my PCX, and most of my driving is in the 25-35 mph range. 110 mpg for the PCX was a...

Bought a new bike on Saturday
Well , I got tired of waiting for the NC700X to arrive here so I went out and bought a 2012 Kawasaki Ninja 650. I wanted to ride in a charity motorcycle ride with Rolling Thunder cycle group for a fundraising ride for my hospital on June 24. So, I bought myself a nice, shiny, new lime green metallic...

Re: Winter gloves
My issue is a freezing cold neck. I bought a dual layer polar fleece zippered dickie that tucks into my jacket and cover my chin just below my mouth. With that problem solved, my regular Joe Rocket gloves, I've been wearing all year seen to be fine. I've been driving in the mid-20s with down to sing...
