Re: Scooter motorcycle age progression picture chart
There should be an extra category for maxi-scooters. Also belong to a Silver Wing list where many include their age in their sig; most of those guys seem to be 70+!

Re: Riding year-long and can't imagine it being the other wa
Welcome, vader1701! We have some things in common: I also ride a Silver Wing and have a PCX to be given to my daughter on her 15th birthday in a couple months.

Re: How bad is residual salt on a dry road?
Wow! This topic is reaching a panic stage. Better vacuum seal our PCX's in plastic wrap to make sure we can peer longingly at them through the plastic wrap, unchanged, forever. Seriously. All this worrying. Wouldn't even do that for the most expensive car I could afford, much less a scooter worth a...

Re: Epic snow...no scootin for me
^ way further north and west of Buffalo  Right on the hump of Lake Superior. 6 months of winter, 3 month of bad skiing, 3 months of bugs. Didn't bother with anything with two wheels up there  Two skis and a track :o And to think I was complaining to myself about having to scrape frost of...

And to think I was complaining to myself about having to scrape frost off the windshield a couple days last week--sorry to all you snowed-in folks.
It'll be in the 70s this coming weekend--come visit to thaw out!

Re: Riding year-long and can't imagine it being the other wa
I feel for you poor people, sitting here in my polo shirt and shorts, temp expected around 30c (86f) today, blue skies and sunshine. Just back from a beach holiday. Even our winter temps are fine for riding without rugging up. I'm really not bragging (much).  Expecting incoming flack :lo...

Sorry--it's _couldn't_ care less, if in other words you mean they don't give a d**n. And, yes, I agree with that sentiment in most instances.

Re: Riding year-long and can't imagine it being the other wa
Thanks OP for the post. Rode in today--38 degrees F. In an Aerostich, over a suit, wasn't cold at all. Worst was the full-face helmet fogging my glasses unless I kept the faceshield cracked at speed and open at stops. Cheated and took the Silver Wing because it has better wind protection (and less j...

Re: Riding year-long and can't imagine it being the other wa
I ride year-round, but in winter only if: -No precipitation falling or less than a 40% chance of precipitation that day -No ice on roads -Temp over 40 degrees F -Daughter doesn't need a ride to school Otherwise, I'm luxuriating with heated seats in my car. Had a time when a motorcycle was my only tr...

Re: PCX design flaw--IMHO
"My feeling is: The PCX floor boards are too narrow. If they had been wider, the bike upon low-siding could not have grabbed my boot and run with it." And if you had four wheels instead of two, and a metal cage, and a seatbelt and airbags, you likely wouldn't have slid out in the first pla...

Re: How many miles do you guys have so far?
Between all your bikes or just the PCX? Just the PCX. Another 100 miles a month for the SW, and maybe 40 miles a month on the Slash 5. I commute 10-15 days a month but it's only 3.5 miles each way, and don't get much other, pleasure or travel, riding in. Keeping the PCX for my daughter (eligible fo...

Re: How many miles do you guys have so far?
Almost 1200 miles in 28 months. Pretty pitiful 42 miles/month. Used it once in the past two months. Probably shouldn't have bothered buying it.

Re: What size engine is in my Honda Forza 300?
Usually (PCX 150 is one exception) engine sizes are smaller than the what is included in a bike's moniker.
Only time I care at all about that is when adding a new bike to my insurance policy and the actual, smaller displacement may move the bike to a cheaper insurance bracket.

1. Glad you're safe, Honkerman.
2. Happy birthday!
3. Get well soon!
4. Thank goodness you were wearing a helmet!
5. Is Rowlf okay?
6. You're all banged up and on pain meds and you're still posting here?
