Re: Workbench(es)

Personally I don't like the ideas of the crates. I realize that they are strong but I don't know if I would trust them to hold almost 300 lbs. The one on the website that's for $175.99 (http://www.harborfreight.com/1500-lb-lightweight-aluminum-motorcycle-lift-60636.html) seems compact. I wish I had ...

Wow, those are some distances. Right now I can't even imagine going 100 miles let alone 500+ in 24 hours.

Re: You're a biker? Questions, questions

But my instructor said if an animal darts out in front of you, and it would fit on a plate if you road killed it, then roadkill it. Seems reasonable to me! Yup, my husband found out the hard way with that about 2 months ago. He tried to go around a possum and it darted back to where it came from. M...

Re: fixing up cosmetics

I was wondering why the US models have the light protruding. I've seen the Burgman and it doesn't have protruding turn signals. Has anyone in the Us changed their turn signals?

Chucktuna, I live about 40 miles west of Chicago. I'm surprised that Chicago isn't number one on that list. You don't go a day without hearing about someone getting shoot. Although being 40 miles away, my little suburb is fairly quiet.

Re: Pebble watch

To me the Pebble Watch seems pricey and might pose a bit of a distraction while on a motorcycle or scooter. I think a simple watch either by Formotion or Clock4bikes might be the way I'll go. In our gadget world we are trying to add more and more gadgets to our bikers/scooters that it seems to take ...

Re: Workbench(es)

Look at Harbor Freight (http://www.harborfreight.com/catalogsearch/result?q=motorcycle+lift). They have a few different ones. There is one for $99.99 (http://www.harborfreight.com/high-lift-riding-mower-atv-jack-60395.html) the lift capasity is 300 lb which is doable for a PCX but on the top end of ...

I hear the MSF course still fresh in your mind. I really did enjoy the class too bad I'll have to wait to ride my scooter. Hopefully in a few weeks.

Congrats on getting it back. That doesn't happen often. Thank god for insurance because $250 is a lot easier to swallow then a whole new scooter.

I was on ebay when I came across this watch. I plan on ordering the exact same one for my husband's Honda Shadow and my PCX. Thanks for posting a picture, now I know how it will look.

Re: No scooter riding for me for awhile.

Thanks. Today is a good day. I've been walking around a little bit in the boot today and I haven't had the pain I was feeling yesterday. I'm hoping for a speedy recovery as well so that I can get on my scooter before the winter hits. Since I've only been on it maybe for about 20 mins in a parking lot.

I'm not sure if you are already on the college campus or not, but just in case. Cats also don't like the smell of citrus.

Re: No scooter riding for me for awhile.

Thanks Pedro-agogo for the flowers, that's more then the hubby gave me. These bills seem to be piling up. I just found out the machine they want me to use to help speed up healing is supposed to cost me $1250 out of pocket expense. They might be able to reduce that to $250 depending on my other bill...

Re: No scooter riding for me for awhile.

LOL. It's funny my husband joked about that the other day. I thinking that I'll skip riding side saddle. C-Note I can't even imagine a huge group of scooters riding around the streets, but it would be fun. We should so look into getting people together in our area. The only PCX I've seen was on the ...

Re: Just put down a payment on a PCX150!

Yeah here in Illinois they only thing required is eye protection and if you have a large enough windshield then you don't have to have eyewear. When my husband first wanted to get a motorcycle and I gave into him I only asked that he get a helmet. On the fourth of July he was complaining to everyone...

Re: No scooter riding for me for awhile.

It's funny a couple of weeks ago I asked my husband to drive the scooter to work since I didn't have my license yet. Normally he drives his Honda Shadow. He humored me and drove it. While at work he dropped a large bearing on his left big toe and broke it. He was happy that he had the scooter that n...

Re: Just put down a payment on a PCX150!

I know the safety course I took required helmet (which they would provide but I brought my own), gloves, boots over the ankle, long sleeves and pants. It was funny how many motorcyclist drove pass us with the helmet on the side of the bike and not on their heads while the course was going on. I'm gl...

Wow, it looks like you are rebuilding the whole scooter. If you don't mind me asking, how much did you spend on all the upgrades? I can't wait for the pictures when you are done.

Congrats. I'm sure you love it. That's awesome that you made sure that you had a helmets as well. I really like the one I got. It's a full face helmet with a built in sun visor.
